It's silly not to sign anyone; you've gotta spend the money anyway. Why not sign people to 1 year deals, best case you can flip them at the trade deadline for picks
Randle will want more then one year and its not worth the money to sign him or D Russ since they dont play defense

Whats the point of signing a player to a one year deal, other then flipping for picks? Its not worth winning a few more games and perhaps ending up with a lower draft pick

The only player i would consider is Brogdon if i was Perry and Mills. Otherwise i believe patience is the best strategy we can implement

I'd prefer keeping Vonleh than sign Randle.

I really think they want Randle because he can carry the scoring load. The Knicks go from a 17 win team to a likely late draft 30-something win team with a high level scoring threat that bangs in the paint. Plus, you don’t force RJ to be the primary scorer.

Also, Randle game is the same as Zion’s but he isn’t as Dynamic, or as quick. He is 6’9 so he can bang easier on the paint. RJ just had All Time Numbers playing next to a guy like Randle. So I see the appeal.

I’m not a fan of signing KD, not even cause he got injured specifically. However, his age, and just overall bad Knicks Luck. Makes me wary of it. However in Perry/Mills we trust so.......

If Kyrie doesn’t come with KD fine. Get Randle, let DSJ be the PG. Sign KD to heal. Let the Kids grow, get another mid to late lottery pick. Hope Silver fixes it for us to get a good PG to play alongside DSJ. Come into season two with a team with some chemistry, a Minutes restriction KD, and a lottery pick PG. make a playoff push all while having a unprotected Mavs pick.

that Mavs pick not for nothing would likely be a lot better if we keep Randle out of Dallas. Because, I use to preach this here a lot. Randle and that snake b*stard KP would be a scary front court. A Doncic/Randle/KP front court could be a playoff team even with shyt guard play.

There’s a lot to like in them getting Randle. If Kyrie wasn’t so out of his mind. I would love a Kyrie/Randle off season.

With the new lottery odds, we could still get a top 4 pick winning 30 something games.

I honestly think we'd be better off with any true stretch 4 than Randle. DSJ needs space to operate. RJ does too. Fizdale's damned system was a series of lateral passes and then a pick and roll...it needs spacing to function well. Give me a piece that fits over a bad fit that's productive. Specifically, gimme someone that will help increase the value of our young cheap assets instead of take away from it. I want pieces that compliment our young guys.

So I’m listening to the basketball buds and Ethan Strauss is alluding to the idea that the Knicks not getting KD would have a lot to do with Dolan’s interview on Michael Kay where he intimated we’d get someone this summer.

Idk how i feel about this idea. It feels like the media is reviving up to try an take Dolan down this summer. I’m not the biggest Dolan defender but this shyt is corny if true. I didn’t even think it was that serious.
