Larry June raps like your washed uncle who hasn't taken off his Adidas tracksuit since 1986

Lol Spitta birth that style imo. The everyday nikka rap.

I still listen to Spitta regularly and he still making fire but I do miss the super regular subject raps. They gave his older shyt a specific charm

Been hearing of him for a few years now and gotta say he doesn’t do it for me. I think Dom was the first to collab with him and now he works with Spitta but he’s the worst version of them put together
With that said Spitta and Dom are GOAT status and this dude is a bum in my eyes compared to them but to each his own

You gotta be in the right place mentally to vibe with Larry. This aint headphone music.

Press play in the whip and just cruise the block and take in the energy.

Chillin in the crib with nothing to do and sippin on something with your feet up and Larry on the house stereo.

Yes, he's less skilled lyrically than Dom & Spitta, but he's elite in his lane. It just sounds and feels good.

For example, Dom kinda sounded washed in comparison to Larry on this.

Like the other dude said Dom is tryna get his mojo back but I still liked him better on this than Larry. No hate it’s cool that this lane has a successor but side note why haven’t we gotten a dom n spitta track lately

what’s a Larry tape I should check out. I’ll give him a better chance

I'd say to start with just to get a feel:

Orange Season - Larry June & Cookin Soul. Tape is short but very dope and gives you that feeling.

If you dig that tape.

Route A (Harry Fraud Tape - Keep Going & Cardo Tape Into the Late Night) Recent tapes.
or
Route B - Run through the prime of his catalog in sequence:
The Port of San Francisco
Mr. Midnight
Out The Trunk
Product of the Dope Game
Adjust to the Game

A very dope run of tapes.
