I'd say to start with just to get a feel:
Orange Season - Larry June & Cookin Soul. Tape is short but very dope and gives you that feeling.
If you dig that tape.
Route A (Harry Fraud Tape - Keep Going & Cardo Tape Into the Late Night) Recent tapes.
or
Route B - Run through the prime of his catalog in sequence:
The Port of San Francisco
Mr. Midnight
Out The Trunk
Product of the Dope Game
Adjust to the Game
A very dope run of tapes.
I still listen to Spitta regularly and he still making fire but I do miss the super regular subject raps. They gave his older shyt a specific charm
Boldy James > Larry Holmes
Bump, Kuz i kissed this thread a breh linked to let me know i ain't alone in thinking Larry is lackluster. I do fukk with his verse on spitta ghetto gospel and that 30 day run, but everything else I've heard (got a Patna that i think has Larry in his top 5, but he come from a P background so it's whatever) is sleep music.
I kinda feel like me being a rapper (unknown) too plays a big part in my opinion
I like his production and he says something slick every once in a while but I can't listen to him too much. It's like he's trying to be the pimp version of Curren$y.
damn disrespectful af smh
Man I've changed my stance on breh. After listening to him more because of this thread, he's become one of my most listened to rappers
I even put a couple of my homeboys on to him.

It's a certain type of chill vibe and mindset you get when you listen to larry, but I feel like a lot of people can't tap into that. He does experiment with the trap sounds but they ain't his lane, his real gems are the smooth p funk, westcoasty sounds.
If you a dude is always on go, speeding thru traffic, patience aint your virtue this ain't it. This music is of the pina colada, laid out on a loungechair with your toes out on vacation variety.

I like both for different reasons
June rapping like it's 74 degrees and sunny
Boldface James rapping like its a 40 below blizzard and he never seen the sun in his life.
