I think a lot of gross people look gross. I think a lot of people look gross or weird, lame, sexy, beautiful, or ugly. Having an opinion means primitive in 2012, i guess.

I don't hate anyone.. they same God that made them this way, is the same one that helps me stay peaceful and love everyone.Doesn't mean that some people's appearance isn't unsettling to me. I guess just like everything else on HL, we are going to pretend like this isn't a genetic disorder. I do, however, feel bad for all the medical conditions they undergo.
you have to work past it though breh. Take that quote someone said about an albino person coming out from under your bed, replace albino with african or chinese and suchlike and see if it looks like "just an opinion". It's true that different people look different. But as mature adults we have to figure out how to control our feelings in response to "difference"
It's worse with these guys cause literally everyone has hated on them since forever. This albino family is poor and had to leave their state, in some parts of africa they're raping albino women to get rid of HIV and chopping up albino kids' limbs to make medicines. And that's today, imagine what it was like in history. If there's anything we can do in life it's to not call people with this condition "ugly" and "gross" and "scary".

I ask because I think dark skin is something our ancestors evolved as they lost their hair. our closest primate relatives have rather fair skin under their fur. and I imagine skin color continued to evolve as man migrated around the world, depending on the environment. what I'm saying is I don't think you can point at any modern human and say that's how all our ancestors looked. also, given how evolution works, I don't think it's particularly virtuous to claim to be the 'original man'. again, I'm not claiming any modern human represents the 'original man'. man continued to evolve no matter where he was

Everything has an original. How is it that ours wasn't in Africa? NTM, scientist are the ones that also claimed that our species originated there.
Paleoanthropologists go to Africa when looking for the earliest fossils for a reason.

evolved in open areas. Whether we came from Apes or not;the first homo erectus had more melanin so they resembled Africans. For millions of years everyone on Earth resembled Africans (meaning dark skinned) up until recently.
I don't know anything about us being light skinned Apes with a lot of hair and eventually becoming dark skinned because we lost our hair. Are you assuming this because we share 95% of the same DNA with apes? All living things share the same basic DNA... we share mostly the same DNA with Fish and Bananas.

a hairy animal has no need for dark skin. dark skin is something we evolved as we lost our hair (the evolution of sweat glands is also related). but yeah, that only makes sense if you believe we evolved from hairy animals
There has been white people around for over 70,000 years (they are relatively new).. so are you saying that because we don't have fur all people will eventually be naturally dark skinned??
And breh, btw... A polar bear has black skin.. and Fur covers it's entire body. The black skin helps it to absorb the sun. If it has fur then why hasn't it evolved into something pasty? What about black Seals??? And if climate has everything to do with that answer, why do most people living in Extreme arctic environments have darker skin.. when white people in the coldest places in Europe have pale skin with a pink tint due to blood vessels?
I believe dark skin and all the benefits of melanin are the evolutionary progress from our less advanced human forms.. I'm not sure what the light skin, that came millions of years later, is about. I mean the lighter skin comes with increased chances of diseases like skin cancer, sun burn, not emitting natural heat, fertility and reproductive issues, etc.... I mean your penis is darker than the rest of your body due to natural selection. If darker skinned people reproduce in small villages their population can increase forever. If a group of white people reproduced on an isolated Island, eventually reproduction will stop as close relation will lead to complete infertility.
I say all that to say that I disagree with you saying we can't point to someone in Africa and say this is " how all our ancestors looked."
