Yes, a rich person isn't leasing some new shyt every 3 years.
They driving some classic collectible showroom shyt. during the summer. and some regular basic shyt the rest of the year.
Because when you rich, there's no reason not to own your vehicles. 100K isn't a big deal to pay off a vehicle for a millionaire. And you not turning around selling your shyt left and right like a car dealership owner.
Facts.

A rich person, say $30M+ net worth or higher...they might daily drive a mid-level Lexus, Mercedes or BMW. Weekends it's Porsche/Lambo...maybe a Bentley Continental or even a Rolls.

They buy the exotic and either keep it for years or sell it for a slight profit to get the next one. I know Ferrari gives preference on new releases to owners that have bought several cars with them versus a first timer.

Learned that in the last few years.

Had one boss with multiple homes in New Jersey and Florida. Dude accidentally shared his screen during a Teams meeting. He had given his presentation but left his sharing on. We saw him pay a $10k credit card bill his kids racked up. All in one swoop.

Sure that's the rich guy himself

But, we tend to forget that these guys have families who usually have expensive tastes.

His kids drive some new shyt every year.

He buys them apartments in Manhattan where they pretend to be starving artists.

His wife is constantly doing some kind of pointless work on the house.

They go on multiple family vacations a year.

They have a maid.

Sure, the rich guy wears a crusty Walmart shirt and Skechers, but his wife has several Birkins.

The folk who can afford them usually lease them…. If they are exclusive models they buy them outright for that bump in resale value 5-10 years from now when they are classics…

Otherwise it ain’t nothing but rental nikkas stuntin

not sure, but i doubt it. My mom deals with investing so its likely their portfolio
The fact that they have investments over a mil is something to strive for. The younger we start the better. Wish I did better on that as a youngin coming up.

Retirees over 60 "not having daily drivers" is just incredibly wrong and borderline stupid, that's my only retort to this going forward.

TBH that's the only portion of what he said that wasn't accurate though. He is right about older people leasing less often and everything else. Not sure what he meant about not having daily drivers though. They obviously have vehicles and some drive daily still; they do however clearly drive less miles on average than younger people.
