The MVP shyt is a 2 things which are true

1 it is BS at this point

Cuz say it was Lamar that had the wins and had all the numbers (either number 1 or number 2 in every QB statistics category) but it was say Josh Allen or Joe Trevor Lawrence who had Lamar’s current starts. Yall would call BS to anyone considering them for MVP (probably call out racism too) and claim/acknowledge Lamar should be MVP.

2 it is a distraction. Purdy just needs to focus on consistency and continuing winning games and finishing strong.

We over the MVP stuff, focus on primary goal

You over the MVP stuff because the Ravens game ended the Purdy for MVP stuff.

Also, if the Bills were 13-3 and Josh Allen had the Lamar stats and just dusted two of the top teams in the entire league I would absolutely advocate him for MVP

& Lamar already has the 2019 MVP under his belt. Don’t get it twisted that just because fans are advocating for him to win MVP that he is satisfied with personal accolades.

I was looking at some sports show and someone said “the mvp shouldn’t be looked at like the championship in combat sports”

I don’t think it should be determined till the season ends and it shouldn’t jump around like “oh he beat him this week so he’s the MVP, but next week loses to new guy so new guy is MVP” and so on.

shyt can change any week with that logic like the linear championship and that’s silly

A few weeks ago no one was considering Lamar for MVP, but it is a narrative award and timing matters. Going by stats it's not an absolutely clear cut decision to give him the MVP, but he peaked at the right time and all the other guys had their dry spells at the wrong time. Fair play. Purdy-backers (of which I am one) can't complain because he dropped he award by having the worst game of his career on his biggest stage of the season with no time left in the season to recover the narrative. That's on him. Props to Lamar.
