Breh I kinda hate you made this thread. Should have let him win a ring first and then make it. Just leads to endless hating if he doesn't get it done this year. It would have been too early as well, but at least it would have been coming off a championship.

The irony is, as a LeBron Stan yourself, this sort of reminds me of people saying KD was on Bron's level after he won back to back rings.
Or that Bron is on MJ level after going 4-6 in the finals :yeshrug:

The Yay
wins are team stats, not player stats

with that said, Lamar's career playoff numbers be pedestrian as fukk compared to Mahomes, especially if you isolate passing

Lamar has 6 playoff starts has 6 tds to 6 picks and averages 210 pass yards under 55% completion
he does have 500 yards rushing in those 6 starts, but that isnt enough to outweigh those passing stats

Choked in a Super Bowl but still has 3 rings vs Lamar choking every time when it matters most and has 0 rings

I’ll take Pat but come on now Pat played his ass off in that Super Bowl loss crazy how even bucs players can acknowledge that but you can’t

Who is your team anyway lol
I'm a Titan (AFC squad, since '99) and a Redskin (NFC squad, since '03)...

Pat wasnt good in that Super Bowl, he had happy feet and was sailing throws...
Why don't you like Mahomes breh? @murksiderock Is it just because pops was swirling? :pachaha:
I never fukked with the rush to anoint him. After his first season starting, people were calling him the most talented quarterback ever, same shyt we heard with Fraudgers....and Manning before him...and Favre before him...and Marino before him...and on and on.

There's always a "most talented ever", each generation, but when MaWhiteGuy won his first Super Bowl it hit absurd levels. Let's be real, that first chip from 2019-20, he was mediocre-to-bad those first 3 quarters. He was great in the 4th, and years later, that's become a Hallmark of his---->he's absolutely a 4thQ player...

His second Super Bowl, he was terrible. Cats try to gloss over the performance but weren't singing the same tune as he blew out Buffalo in the AFC Championship. He had 1 great quarter in his first 8 SB quarters...

The next season he had a double digit halftime lead AT HOME and wilted away in the second half, getting outplayed by Joey B. So when people talk about the pattern of Lamar or whoever else playing poorly, let's remember Mahomes has certainly been more consistently clutch but he has several weak playoff performances...

2022 was the first front to back great playoff run, and even then we know many nikkas here and elsewhere made the argument that Hurts outplayed him, Mahomes just had the better team. He's a great player, but the comps to Brady got outta control and too many people glossed over his weaknesses...

I like Mahomes, I just think I'm an objective evaluator...
OP used to be a good poster now he's just :francis:
Damn don't do me like that dog 🤣...
Boiii u missed ya calling. You a professional shyt starter :russ:
Nah bruh don't do me like that! 😂

Thread was intended to be innovative but backfired something serious :mjlol:

If a dude wins a Super Bowl,he’ll apparently be on equal ground.with a dude with 2 more championships.2-3 more championship mvps and has the same amount of mvps and similar regular season stats. Man go sit your ass down

I wouldn't even have a problem with this thread, in principle, if @murksiderock was finally honest with himself and came out and said he was a Mahomes hater, but the fact he's trying to come across as if this is some objective observation and not him doubling down after being wrong about Mahomes, every single step of the way, is well, everyone in this thread can see him for what he is.

My g, @murksiderock, you're not an objective evaluator of him. It's painfully obvious for everyone to see you're not.

Nothing will change that. People are starting to piss me off trying to downplay Pat cause this year hasn’t been great.
Pat not even a decade in, it's too early to say Lamar can't catch him. For me it ain't about anything other than eye test, objectively Lamar is having two consecutive better regular seasons than Mahomes. That's what's closed the gap---->what quarterback skill is Lamar struggling at currently?

Style of play is different but his mastery of the position is on some 2018-20 Mahomes shyt. He's not showing any weaknesses, somehow this guy continues to get better...
Does anyone really care about MVPs in football?

Winning bowls seems like the only objective in football whether it’s college or pro.

Which to me is weird cause football is the sport with the most moving parts. So a man like Eli Manning can have two rings with just a handful of lucky Hail Marys. Or how Peyton was perhaps the best in the league for 15 years, but one of the worst when he won his second ring. Like Bryce Young had better stats.

all due to defense.
Man yes, MVPs matter. They not the end-all be-all in any sport, but they matter...

Lamar and Mahomes are two of just 10 All-Time QBs with 2+ MVPs. If he wins a third this year, he'll be just one of 6 with 3. History will remember that there was another All-Time quarterback in this era----->and again, they'll also remember if this other guy, Lamar, doesn't win any rings...

But the MVPs matter...
That said, I don't think a ring alone means Lamar is now on Mahomes level. Mahomes been doing this for a long time now
They been doing it the same length of time. Mahomes first season as a starter was '18, won MVP...

Lamar first season as a starter was '19, won MVP. They been dominating same era, but to reiterate what I said earlier: Lamar has a pathetic playoff record, no real great playoff games, is 0-1 vs Mahomes in the playoffs. He's gotta gain ground but if he wins a Super Bowl, considering he's already narrowing the gap, there's gonna be a lot of discussion about who you'd rather have...

It's impossible to watch Lamar over the last two years and not see that he's clearly closed the gap between he and Mahomes--->and narrowed the gap between himself and Allen and Burrow...

Only question is he has to complete a playoff run with a ring...

Nxgga, you need to ban yourself from using that word when speaking about Mahomes.
