The Orlando Magic are "increasingly focused" on trading Dwight Howard to the Los Angeles Lakers for Andrew Bynum. Helping the Laker cause is the fact that the team is no longer demanding that Howard agree to a contract extension before a trade is consummated. That is according to two separate reports from today. Have no fear, the Brooklyn Nets have not given up hope either and have a standing offer on the table.

"I think with Nash in the house now, they wouldn’t need an assurance up front," one league executive tied closely to the Howard trade talks told Yahoo! Sports. "They know that Dwight can be impressionable and craves Hollywood. I think they would take that chance."

Via Eric Pincus, HOOPSWORLD
Sources close to the Lakers say they are not bothered by Howard’s reluctance to commit long-term to the team. They understand that Howard stands to make significantly more money as a free agent after this season, signing a five-year deal vs. adding on just three years to his current contract. LA is confident that once in Los Angeles, and in possession of his Bird Rights, Howard would ultimately re-sign with the team.

If this is legit watch how quick some people are going to try and downplay it. You'll start seeing more people knocking Howard's game and more people saying Bynum is the best Center in the league.

The Lakers have notified one of their players that he will be apart of a possible Dwight Howard deal.

Pretty sure that player was Andrew Bynum, right? . . . . of course, he probably shrugged his shoulders & continued playing War Craft.

I don't want a player that doesn't want to play for us, Keep Drew.

I kind of want to keep Drew too (especially if bytch ass howard wont sign an extension).

Howard being signed will make for some entertaining posting though. :lolbron:

If anything what we'll see if Bynum become a disappointment and every Laker fan be like "I ain't think Bynum was that nice anyway"
