I wouldn't be mad if we just got Steve. Don't forget, he's great in the half court offense, he made those bums in Phoenix productive, and thts a product of his IQ, that's why he can still run an offense so smoothly at 38...Kobe's FG should go up, and Bynum and Gasol will be highly productive...so now we have a very high IQ team, perhaps one of the smartest backcourt in NBA history

One thing to keep an eye on though...Howard did try to get Steve in Orlando back in February...

He wouldn't start at the C position for Minny? :merchant:

Damn, you love drafting in the lottery every year, huh? :pachaha:

No. Not the way the team is set up. Pau would only be here for 2 years at most. The guy that's here now (Pekovic) would and should still be the center here even after he's gone, but they'd be stupid to bench him only to lose him as well in a year. Besides, Pau almost makes it certain they'd miss the playoffs because they wouldn't have a SF or SG at all and no way to fill those spots with Pau's $20 mil

Acquiring Gasol creates more problems than they solve. Keep Pau. Just hope he doesn't turn into Eeyore for the third straight postseason. You're laughing at me, yet you're the one who wants him traded :pachaha:

You would start Pekovic over Pau? I like Pek but :laff:

I don't wanna risk them losing Pek over :sadpau: because we wanna start that emo, as if he makes such a big difference. Lakers fans need to stop pretending they'd be doing us a favor by giving us Gasol.

Dwight Howard to the Lakers is much harder to do now after the Steve Nash trade, simply because the Magic coveted those Lakers draft picks. If an Andrew Bynum for Dwight trade were to happen, it's likely the Lakers would have to find a 3rd team for their draft picks. - Chris Mannix (Sports Illustrated)

They wanted draft picks to go along with Bynum? Orlando has some nerve. They should be happy Mitch is even considering sending them Drew for Dwight.

Trading Dwight for Bynum doesn't really save them much money considering they'd have to pay Bynum almost as much as Dwight just to keep him.

Steve : "Kobe wanted someone to handle the ball and lead, he wanted a pick & roll, spacing for the big men, etc."
