Its a great first step in the right direction. Theres a few things I think we need to address before we can win a chip...the biggest thing being the 3.
-I'd love to get Ebanks back...he's a solid backup to Ron...Grant Hill could also work out.
If we upgrade...and don't keep Ron as a starter...he's gotta be traded cuz he wont be effective off the bench...Iggy would be great to fill this role, but not realistic.
-We need some bench explosiveness...preferably at the 2...Giving Gouda some PT would solve this.
-We need a reliable backup for Nash. I'd love to keep Sessions if we could get him for cheap...but he's asking for a 3 year deal...and we stopped pursuing him...not really sold on Stevie B...Aaron Brooks would be awesome...but he might be too expensive.
-Jordan Hill needs to re-sign.

brehs.. are we seriously actin' like nash isnt a _huge_ upgrade over sessions?
and G hill is a SOLID 10PPG even at this stage of his career, thats more than most of these other laker bums can say
and i really feel this is the tip of the iceberg, and you know what fukk it maybe with nash in charge, bynum and pau will shape the fukk up, altho personally i still wanna see both moved, they have value to other teams. Dwight should be way more interested in the lakeshow now, think about it, one of his major concerns was the ball sharing with kobe. we got a REAL PG, we've never really had that in fukk.. since magic? so ya.. this is major win, who gives a shyt about nash's d, we actin' like sessions was great with D? put kobe on westbrook, and that'll contain him to a point, nash will orchestrate the show.. Showtime 2012+ brehs!

I still say we trade w Minny and grab Derrick Williams & Wesley Johnson. I dont see a future for them as T-Wolves, so they might as well come to the OG Minny team. We need the salary cap relief and draft picks back.

There's no point in trading Pau now. Lakers are clearly in Win Now mode so while Pau might be overpaid it's not AS detrimental going forward since he's productive and we don't have to rely on him being an aggressive scorer.

that's a very good point
we got kobe he's gonna get his, we got nash he needs his plus he has to run the O, we will have either bynum or D12, they'll need touches, we could use a more athletic/defender of 3 positions type at the SF, and some shooters/energy players off the bench
i just kinda felt pau wore out his welcome, sure we dont get those titles w/o him but a lot has changed since then , last 2 post seasons, him and bynum looked horrible, hell bynum has ADMITTED he didnt even come prepared , how the fukk you not come prepped for a playoff game? dude will never grow up
Nash - PG is straight, anyone saying otherwise is a hater
Bean - Bean able to do what he does best now, score not worry about running the team
Bynum/D12 - talented big man if motivated / best center in league
??? - i want our starting SF traded/replaced

Hearin' grant hill interested in the lakers, is a good look, he either starts and is a gauranteed 10ppg or he comes off the bench and adds some reliable offense
i feel we need to shore up D more so than O on the SF/PF slots though
I am yet again never let down by the recruiting talents of Bean or the FO

Got nothing to do with appeasing Dwight and everything to do with Mitch knowing the team needed an upgrade at the point. Mitch doesn't really listen to player demands like that. He saw a flaw in the team and fixed it (just like he did last year before the veto).
I'm not even sweating this Dwight Howard shyt...Yall need to put that shyt out of your mind. If it happens fine, if it doesn't that's also fine. I don't want anybody here who doesn't want to be here.
