Magic and Kareem also played with tons of high caliber players. Bird did as well. Russell and Jordan too. Duncan and Olajuwon really the only players in my top 10 that played with average players on a consistent basis throughout their careers.

This season was trash from the beginning due to a number of factors. Coaching change, ownership changing directions, key players in and out of the lineup, nagging injuries and recoveries, no team chemistry, etc, etc. The Lakers shouldn't be as bad as they are but there are many outside factors contributing to their shyttyness.

They traded a defensive minded coach after 5 games....that's their fault.

I can't excuse them for this garbage ness...even with a bad coach EVERYBODY expecting them to at least make the finals let's keep it reality.

Bron and the cavs comfortably made it to the offs with mike brown there is no reason why these dudes are this terrible. Coach has soooome influence obviously but I think its a mixture of not being able to keep up athletically...they hardly cut to the basket..something that Nash needs to flourish properly....Dwight's lack of a real back to the basket game...Howards horrid free throw shooting.

They way Kobe plays offensively does not lend well to the way Howard and Nash play. Kobe hardly cuts to the basket and he's not accustom to sharing the rock to cutters on a consistent basis. His offense is basically catch..triple threat..or post.
