um, i'm married. and my wife paid her half when we were dating. if a man says "let me buy you dinner" that is TOTALLY different from "do you want to go out and get something to eat?"

It depends, if we agreed to go to a specific special place, thats glitzy and pricey then we split the bill accordingly, but if its a special date and you asked me, i'll put my wallet in my purse to tip the waiter maybe, but otherwise you pay

As for me when I say im gonna take you out,I usually cover the bill or at least on 1st date.

na dont it twisted i have had plenty of times they paid i just do it out of courtesy and respect and being a gentleman nothing more than that. never had food bandits either

I'm just like hey we on a date i'll pay no need for shyt to be all awkward if i got it cover or she covers it. what generally happens if their is a 2nd date the person who paid the 1st time doesnt pay the 2nd time when it has happened too me cuz of the enjoyment they had with me

i just think sometimes we make it too much of a big deal than what it is at the same time i never had bad experience like others have so i can see why they do make it a big deal

if date gonna act up right off the bat i would just that shyt with the quickness with respect and go home not gonna waste my time with her.

i'll just pick up some food on the way home instead and watch a damn movie in peace

Nah I can respect that so it don't feel awkward. For me when a chick pays and not that stupid fakeout move that I will put to the test it seems like more of a we in this together type thing. That might sound corny but that's how it feels for me. I would never use a person so she pay for something like you said next thing on me and vice versa. At the end of the day though its about what works for each couple. That you asked you pay when most chicks would starve cause they don't open their mouth ever stuff won't fly over here. The reason being its sooo disingenuous to me and would rather a chick just be honest. I don't like when people try to piss down your back and tell you its rain. I'm talking in a convo cause Ive honestly never had it happen yet.
