As explosive as Tomlinson was, he only had like a 7 year shelf life. Emmitt was steadily producing for 12+ years. No other running back has that type of durability.
Are you implying that Emmit is in consideration for being the GOAT?

Thomas Jones had the least broken tackles per carry out of backs with over 200 carries a season when he was a Jet, yet was amongst the league leaders in yards.
That has everything to do with his line, not his instincts.
Same here with Greene. I"m talking RB instincts. Greene beasting when running through the obvious is not a display of great RB instincts.
At least Greene behind a decent enough line will be productive. That's all you can ask for. I dont think McKnight is talented enough to even be that.
They've drafted 2 backs since they took McKnight. If they thought he were any good...I doubt those two guys would be here.
I think lots of backs would have flourished behind the Jets line, which is the point I proved with TJ beasting while having ZERO elusiveness.
Shonn Greene is amongst the bottom of the league in elusiveness. LT made 2 less people miss on damn near 200 less carries than Greene.
To think you're putting stock into him over McKnight in a department he isn't even good at?
Come on man.
I think Greene and McKnight are both shytty.
NYC Rebel, what's your thoughts on added responsibility for Sanchez in your new offensive scheme? He will be making protection calls, so he has to read defenses, and know where open receiver are because our receivers will run routes based on coverage.
All I know is, being at a Fish vs. Jets game several years ago when the Fish basically removed the Favre QB'd Jets from the playoffs, I saw first hand how a Sporano offense can go for blood.
On two occasions, Lowery bum ass at DB came in to replace a hurt corner. I called it from the stands that they're going to go after him.....and and the Fish immediately threw two deep bombs with Ginn his direction, resulting in a 30+ yard TD.
That is something we NEVER saw in a Schotty offense. Dynamic to whats on the field.
I hope they teach Sanchez the same things.
Sparanos offense has a heavy emphasis on sight adjustments and hot routes in which a receivers route can be adjusted in response to a blitzing defense and it also includes a variety of tags and option routes that allow receivers to find open spaces against the coverage.
Each player must know each play from the protection outward, and receivers, running backs and tight ends must read blitzing players and the coverage the same way as the quarterback.
A bit more is placed on Sanchez in this system, in Sparanos estimation. The quarterback, for instance, must set the protections.
This offense is suppose to be QB-Friendly, but every Jets fan is critical of Sanchez decision making and not being able to read defenses, but we will see.
I saw it first hand.
I called it from the stands before the play started and had fans looking at me shaking their heads becasue they saw it.
I hope we do the same for Sanchez.
Hold up I know these bytch ass nikkas ain't turning this L.T dedication thread into some bullshyt Jets talk. Get that shyt the fukk up out of this thread you self involved fakkits.
