Nah dog...I see the position different than most.

TRUST me.....Shonn's RB instincts aren't as good as McKnight's.

Dude stays running up his linemen back. YOu've NEVER seen Shonn greene make a lateral cut to another hole.

I've seen McKnight do that with his 3 ypc. All he needs is more reps.

Greene leaves too many yards on the field. I see it.

I wasn't arguing Greene was any good.

I was arguing that McKnight was better based on those instincts.

That was my point from jump.

You jumped in trying to speak the lingo and have no idea what I was talking about.

I said dude is under utilized and is going to take shonn Greene's spot this season.

And THEN I gave my reasons why.

Oh please. I saw problems with McKnights INSTINCTS last year during the preseason when he was trying to bounce everything outside. Marcus Allen tweeted you...who cares.

He isnt powerful enough to run inside and doesnt have the bounce out elusivness either.

That's because he lacks repetition. I have no problem with that.

Not your convo man....

He got plenty of reps vs the Broncos last year and looked awful. Even if he does have these GASP "instincts" only you and apparently Marcus Allen can see, doesnt mean he has the speed or power to be an effective runner and a starter. At least we know Greene will give the Jets the 4ypc and fall forward.

He got reps last year and was still behind the plodding Shonn Greene and Tomlinson. He even got benched on KR as well.

Dog...you need one game to get reps?

:what:

This is why this convo is going nowhere.

I mean, it's not about an agenda. I feel McKnight hasn't gotten enough reps and know why that 3 ypc is what it is. But I see better instincts at the position from him than I do Greene who shows me no instincts what so ever and runs to what's obvious.

Also....mcKnight is quicker than Greene to the hole, which for some reason you're not addressing.

The rest is all a matter of opinion. I just feels mines about what I see with RB's is stronger than your own and I have a better track record of it.

Greene sucks Im not arguing that. But at least he's shown flashes. Ive seen nothing out of McKnight that gets me excited. I thought he sucked in college too so I guess that could be clouding my judgement.

fukk that overrated fakkit :pacspit:

ladanian is still better than him.

:umad:

As explosive as Tomlinson was, he only had like a 7 year shelf life. Emmitt was steadily producing for 12+ years. No other running back has that type of durability.

Flashes of "what?"

Explain what they are.

Late in the season as a downhill runner. The Bengals and Chargers playoff games he was downright dominant.

For as boring as he is, he will still get you the 4 ypc.

The Bengals and Chargers game he ran untouched.

I hate when people take uncreative runs and make them out to be special.

How hard was it to score on a toss play with no one outside?

How hard was it to score when our now DB opposite Revis was scared to get in the hole?

:what:

It's the equivalent of people putting stock into Maybin's coverage sacks.

There was nothing instinctive about those games other than a big guy running through obvious holes the Jets line made.

I was at the Bengals game he wasnt running untouched at all. I wasnt even trying to point out that toss play. The Raiders game his rookie year. He's had good games. McKnight hasnt. Hell if Rex had his way McKnight would be playing CB full time

TREAD THIS.

Thomas Jones had the least broken tackles per carry out of backs with over 200 carries a season when he was a Jet, yet was amongst the league leaders in rushing yards.

That has everything to do with his line, not his instincts.

Same here with Greene. I"m talking RB instincts. Greene beasting when running through the obvious is not a display of great RB instincts.
