A lot of those STEM people sabotaged other professions from making good money and killed unions, just so more people can go to traumatizing STEM majors and low ball them on the pay scale. They keep moving goalposts and keep adding rigorous requirements like knowing the "right" people, go through internships that make them work for free or minimum wage, and even declare that the wealth gap is "normal".

They ruined the economy, and they don't deserve forgiveness.
You doing entirely too much

And for reference black people need stem people, especially with the way the world is going

Don't think it's as bad as they are trying to make it seem
Banking, consulting, and management consulting all hire STEM grads to do analytical non stem work........and they all pay well
I'm a tech lead now but the first 3 years of my career I didn't work in STEM , I was a consultant working on technical projects on the business side in banking and pharma
end of the day STEM grads are going have options and be seen as attractive since people know the level of coursework they have done to get the degree
