NYC and especially Brooklyn definitely have a fighting culture

squabbling / Fades = getting the 1 on / shooting the 5 / shooting the 30
East Coast Cities like NY, Philly, Baltimore ain't car dependent and are tightly condensed, so by the nature of the environment it's gonna be more walkup shootings and hand to hand confrontations

LA is literally the epicenter of drive by shootings due to gang culture and in large part because the city is car dependent, which makes this thread preposterous

Facts

Too many guns here. Big cities but still kinda country. That means if you smoke one nikka, he probably got bout 8,000 cousins from Shreveport, Marshall, Tyler and Beaumont looking to clap back.

I was a straight up nerd and had to squab at least 3x in school. Got suspended 2x and had to go to court the last time in 2001 (end of H.S. freshman year).

Judge looked at me and then my report card and was like "bruh....wtf. Knock that shyt off" in judge-speak. Didn't even get another demerit in school.
That's all? 🤣

Mandatory check, everybody who say they from a fighting culture, how many fights you've been in? 🤣 and your friendly fights with brothers or cousins don't count...

I got into a bunch of fights growing up:

•classroom in 3rd grade is the first fight I can remember

•playground at 9 years old

•bathroom in 5th grade

•cafeteria in 6th grade

•school bus 1 in 7th grade

•school bus 2 in 7th grade

•neighborhood basketball court 1 in 7th grade

•classroom in 7th grade

•school gym in 7th grade

•neighborhood basketball court 2 in 7th grade

•football sideline in 8th grade

•school bus in 8th grade

•gym locker room in 9th grade

•neighborhood basketball court in 9th grade

•neighborhood park summer between 9th and 10th

•school hallway in 10th grade

•neighborhood streets 1 in 11th grade

•neighborhood streets 2 in 11th grade

This is 18 between the ages of 8 and 16. I'm almost 36, so I know I'm forgetting something. I went to jail, starting my prison bid, 3 days after I turned 17, on June 7, 2006. So the subsequent fights I got into in jail before I turned 18, I don't even count. I was in adult county jail and in there thuggin with adults...

I know I'm missing something, though. Most people ain't even been in 18 fights in they whole life, and this is all before my 17th birthday. Everybody who from somewhere that's "known for squabbles" need to itemize they squabs like this...

I didn't spend my entire upbringing in California so these weren't all in California, but this is evidence that something was in me, not on me, so all this shyt counts as a California native...

It always felt like Cali, Texas, and Fl were like the fighting capitals of the country.

Throw in Pennsylvania and Michigan and you prolly got a top 5 (no order)
Sounds about right. Dade gave us Kimbo in those SoFla backyard fighting pits. Other local legends like Level, BlackDaDa. MMA culture is huge in SoFla too. Those training centers are just about everywhere. That Brazilian jiu jitsu influence from Latin America/The Gracie’s. Philly goes without saying. Philly they come out the womb with boxing gloves. I just assume anyone from Philly got hands. :mjlol:

Michigan same as Pennsylvania. I feel like all those soul cities just have nature scrappers for some reason. It feels like all those dudes on Motown and Philadelphia International could squabble after serenading your girl. :dead:

We grew up always willing to catch the friendly fade, setting up boxing matches and shooting fair ones.

Most YN’s ain’t got the heart to catch a fade so they buss they guns or if it’s gang affiliated beef no chance they squaring up.
