Some people are just better playmakers/PGs than others. It's the reason why John Wall can dish out double digit assist totals on shytty Wizard teams and average like 8ast per game for his career, while Kyrie can't.

There are some guys that just create shots for their teammates better than others. Some guys can get put on any roster and still get guys easy shots, period.

So Steph Curry and Conley aren't one of those guys? Because they've had a lower assist rates than Kyrie Irving through their careers....

I think he does

He has the best handles in the NBA (imo)

He got a good shot. Hes a good finisher. He just needs to improve his defense a little and decision making imo, but that will improve when he leaves the cavs.

Kyrie got 12 total double doubles for his career
Rondo got 11 right now this year, and missed hella games :russ:

You're doing stats wrong, breh. 10/10 is not as valuable as 26/6 or 23/7.

Cherry Picking double-doubles as some sort of statistic ON ITS OWN is - mathematically - incongruous with statistics itself.

I'm not playing Rondo. I think he's a great player.

I'm playing the idea of counting "double doubles" as a statistic in and of itself. Rondo is also making 1 free throw a game, shooting 29% from 3. :lupe:

Neither is the perfect player.

But Kyrie has had games of:

39/12
41/5
37/11
39/6
40/9
30/8
44/8

:ohhh:
Career wise?... Nah I wouldn't put Steph or Conley on Wall's level when it comes to setting up guys either.

:mindblown:

Yeah, and Wall isn't on Chris Paul's level, and Chris Paul isn't on Jason Kidd's level... and everything is hierarchical.

But my point was that there are guys considered to be better "playmakers" and "facilitators" than Kyrie, who have better "vision" than Kyrie... and they assist a lower percentage of their teammates baskets than Kyrie Iriving.

That's all I'm trying to say. Is that if you're looking at a player's ability to facilitate, there's more to that detective work than simply counting up season assists. Pace of play matters. A team's defense matters. Teammates matters. Hell, even the scorekeepers matter, as some are far more stringent with their definition of an "assist" than others.

And yes... then there is the ability to set players up. But you can see by the rates, that he's on par with players like Conley and Steph Curry who aren't facing these kinds of "HE DOESN'T SET HIS TEAMMATES UP" assaults from non-assinine posters.
