So in other words...anything to blame Bron? :mjlol: This guy dropped a championship GM that has pulled great deal after great deal out of his ass and was on the verge of doing it again and it's Bron's fault? :dead: You don't think they would need a high-quality GM after Bron leaves one way or another anyway?

woah woah woah I was asking a honest question :whoa:

Gilbert is already stuck with some shytty deals, why pay big bucks for a GM if Bron aint gonna be there? You gotta realize without Bron, someone like Gilbert has no reason to try and contend for titles. No one wants to play in Cleveland, and Im sure the Cavs are worth way more than what Dan bought it for. Without Bron, Dan Gilbert has no incentive to spend the extra cash.

Nobody on the Warriors keeps their future plans all wrapped up like Bron. its hard to plan for the future if you dont know if your franchise player is coming or going and he won't talk to anybody about it

I'm intrigued to see what happens when LeBron leaves the Nba. I can't imagine him playing as starter LeBron for more than 2x more years, Doc.

You're talking like without Lebron, Gilbert is going to go the way of the Kings and just give up on basketball. Why even own a team then?

Are you simultaneously suggesting that the owner isn't committed to winning AND questioning why Bron isn't ceding all his leverage and blindly committing to him?

So I guess people think we are just going to give Kyrie to a team without getting a good amount of assets back he's under contract until the summer of 2020 so unless it's a good deal he isn't going anywhere.

That's nice and all except the only thing it's going to do is hurt the team

exactly....If Lebron would just commit long term we wouldn't be having some of these issues and more veteran free agents may be willing to come. But this hokie pokie stuff he's been doing is getting old. Love and Kyrie committed to the team but Lebron want's to keep doing this 1 season stuff. He needs to go ahead and sign a 3-5 year deal.

Bron gonna keep signing these deals till he turn 36 then sign a 5 year 40m a year deal

Breh. If bron is there Gilbert is committed to spending the cash. If not, he isn't. Its not that hard to understand. Dan has shelled out all the deals Bron wanted and Bron still hasnt committed long term. Why would he make Griffin one of the highest paid GMs on a long term deal when Bron isn't even gonna be there? U act like Gilbert hasnt been through this before. Reports even say Bron isn't even actively recruiting this offseason as he has in the past.

U know how many owners own teams and dont give a fukk about winning? U think Gilbert was gonna spend big bucks on GM for the Kyrie-Wiggins Cavs? Probably not. Cleveland is relevant literally only because of Bron. Otherwise, the team is just a money maker that builds his worth. Can't expect a Bron-less Cavs to have one of the highest paid GMs

In all honesty Kyrie is acting like a hoe.

Why does he care what the media or fans think as far as calling him "Robin". He hit the game winner to bring the title to Cleveland. His stats and impact prove he's not just a Robin. They didn't called DWade Robin. Like I said before.... the ONLY logical reason Kyrie wants out is because he doesn't want to spend his career in a city like Cleveland. If they were playing in LA or Miami, he wouldn't give a shyt. Pippen was good enough to be a Number 1 option on most teams, but you never saw him demand a trade (until Jordan retired the first time). If Kyrie came out and said he hated living in Cleveland the fans would crucify him. Blaming Lebron for wanting to leave makes no sense. If Lebron never came to Cleveland, Kyrie would still try to leave. One could even say Lebron is the only reason why Kyrie even reupped in the first place.

Kyrie signed that deal before Brawn came back, under the assumption he was gonna play with Wiggins and run Blatts system.

No, one couldn't because Kyrie reupped before Bron came back. I find it hilarious how people are determined to blame Bron or Kyrie or even the city here and completely absolving Gilbert. My man has a history of temper tantrums when things don't go the way he wants, he's shown nothing as an owner besides willingness to spend (on players at least), he tossed a championship GM into the bushes for no good reason, the night before the draft mind you, and people don't see why players would be :whoa: about committing to this dude long term. :dead:

I concede that point. Based on that point, the only other reason I can see Kyrie being bitter with Lebron is that he fasted tracked Kyrie to a championship but at the expense of the teams long term future consisting of Wiggins, and Waiters.

But staying the course without Lebron wouldn't have guaranteed him a finals appearance let along a championship. So it still goes back to him not wanting to live in Cleveland. He's from New Jersey, which is why he would want to come to the Knicks which would almost guarantee he will never sniff the finals again.
