i didn't think Morbius was as bad as people say, but Madam Web was terrible.

The thing, because the Spiderverse and the real Marvel Spider-Man movies pretty much print money, Sony can make bullshyt like this and still be profitable. If Sony Pictures actually had to rely on movies like this, Morbius, and Madam Web to make them money, that company would have folded. Sony also lands a hit like the Jonah Hill Jump Street movies every now and then also.

I think a large portion of their profit is through music, i.e., UMG, Drake, Kendrick, etc., and merchandise (which they're making billions from) so this is just dumping out free money that won't hinder them not 1 bit.

Unlike the FOX merger, Marvel by no means could never buy out Sony so they'll forever have to work with them or around them.

That's also true. big companies are always moving money between different departments. However, if Sony didn't have those few hit movies, they probably would have sold off their movie division and invest more on the music and video game divisions.

Yup, Playstation 5 is making billions in sales but you're right. The into the spiderverse movies easily triple and counter balance these flops. Let alone, the Lego movies and other projects. Those actors like Tom Hardy, Woody Harrelson and Chiwetel Ejiofor knew these were trash but they got paid good cause Sony could afford it.

i didn't think Morbius was as bad as people say, but Madam Web was terrible.

Yeah, Morbius was a bad movie, but it was enjoyable because it was a throwback to the mid tier cheesy action movies that were getting made in the mid 90s to early 2000s, that honestly, need to come back.

Madame Web, however, was flat out terrible. It has a terrible plot, was directed terribly, and had terrible acting. The only redeeming quality was laughing at how terrible the main villain's ADR dialogue was. They didn't even make half an attempt to cover that shyt up.
