I should have known by the 4 straight G1 Final appearances and the coronation at WK15 but this presser confirms....NJPW holds Kota Ibushi in high regard.

I hope his mother is okay as can be and Ibushi can be back for the G1 this year.

In the link to the press conference they said they reconciled with I ushi and that he was training to comeback.

It would be great to see 9 singles matches from Ibushi vs top competition in the G1 as a fan.

In what sense? The fact they had an official press conference to talk about it and explain in detail shows how big of an issue it was for New Japan and how they wanted to lead the narrative instead of having Ibushi clown them on Twitter.
