I remember writing an essay on Nazi Propaganda and reading about the brilliant techniques of persuasion the Nazi's used on German society in the years leading up to WWII and and even during the war. Through deception and manipulation, the Nazi's were able to implement their ideology into German society - a country that was at a time the wealthiest in the world in the late nineteenth century, with highly educated people and a very rich culture. The propaganda was delivered through the press and broadcasting, more specifically the radio. With this, they were successful in developing a system of persuasion and deception, it wasn't simply brainwashing or emotional manipulation.
Now I'm not comparing Nazi Germany to America but after thorough research on this particular topic, the similarities can't be ignored. Through the entertainment industry, this is how America does it. We don't need to begin speaking about how massive the entertainment business is in America and how it greatly impacts American society. But that's just to pull the wool over your eyes about the world. They really DON'T want you to know what's going on in the world. Why would a government want to piss off millions of armed Americans???
So through distractions, like the entertainment industry and "security" (The Patriot Act), they keep you nice and safe
You get to enjoy your new gated community and brand new car. You work the 40 hours a week. You get the 70K salary. You get your three weeks of vacation a year (if you're one of the lucky ones
). This is the life. Oh yeah, you're 40-50K in debt from student loans, you're paying out the ass for health insurance, you're getting taxed like a bytch, God forbid you have kids
, and every other day your governments implementing a new bill that continues to slowly remove your civil liberties. But this is the life. Throw in the bombardment of the entertainment business and most people don't care to really know what's happening in their own country, let alone the world. They have all these things to pay for. Their own problems. And this is where we stand. But it gets even deeper than that.....
In our world, we really know nothing but I'd like to think that most of us on here, specifically in this thread, we know a thing or two about what's happening in the world today and a little bit of history of the world and I've said this before, it's all full circle. There's nothing new under the sun. Why would you put anything past the American government and their agenda? I mean just look at the history.... Hell, the last 100 years and what they've been able to accomplish. I mean we could even look at the last two decades and how they've conquered the Middle East to "protect us" from terrorists while managing to line the pockets of corporations while bleeding billions in tax dollars from their citizens while our education system continues to deteriorate
But it's all good over here.. We get to eat at Appleby's and drive cool cars and use our iPhones and live in 2,500/month downtown lofts
This is the life
they want you to accept. The world the way
they want you to know it. Millions are truly out of touch with reality. I thought the Tyra Banks piece in the clip was brilliant. In that segment alone she displayed how "unplugged" she is. Tyra knows good and damn well she doesn't give a fukk about no homeless folk. Tyra is trying to get ratings for her show. Like they said in the clip, she has no qualifications about half the shyt she's spewing
Is that a good or a bad thing? I don't know. But I do know we are slaves to the $$$ and a hidden agenda sweeping through the world. I think a lot of us just have acceptance happiness. A lot of people know about the inequalities of the world, the poverty, war, the disease, greed, corruption but that's not what you see everyday. We see, for the most part, what they want us to see. The things in front of us. The things we have to pay for. Our own problems. This is the life
