I think it is important, and I also think it is important that you consider all the things this documentary leaves out about America
I think for example it would be interesting to know Americans have things like human rights and jobs... and that everyone isn't starving
I think it would be interesting to contrast the levels of propagandism used by NK vs that "used by" the US (I use quotations because at least in the US there are no direct connections between the propaganda and the govt)
So its like this thing is only giving 1/10th the story. If we are going to talk about propaganda.
(dope smiley, not really necessary)
I see what your saying, but who's presenting the information isn't as important as main focus of the video, a lack of awareness in American Society.
For example, I can counter your examples through:
Human rights:
New laws will make voting harder for about 5 million | MinnPost
Food:
Food Stamps: House Republicans Push For Deeper Cuts To SNAP
Jobs:
Obama's Jobs Bill Fails to Advance in Senate Despite White House Push | Fox News
I bet I could take it to the streets right now and post up in front of the CNN building in hollywood and randomly ask people if they know anything about these bills or articles, and the overwhelming majority will
probably be no.
But If I counter it with a discussion about Tom Cruise divorce, i'd probably get a full blown conversation about nothing
This is a problem because all these articles have a crucial effect on American Society.
In life you can't run away from your problems by constantly living in a fascade....
The solution, IDK.
American Capitalism is pretty chattle and cold-blooded(checks and balances corrupted through lobbying)
Socialism sounds good, but the eq point never balances(can't be forced)....
Communism seems good, but never implemented right, leads to dictators...
Utopias, on average always fail within 2-3 years of existence...
The solution, IDK, lowkey i'm debating between majoring biochem or taking up neuroscience,(same prerequisites )have to finalize soon. I just want to understand how people think.
