why is its birth rate so low?

Neoliberalism. Overhead costs of living are too high. This is the case for every country under US economic control. They favor economic rent over actual production, and therefore don't reinvest into the health and wellbeing of productive forces (workers). Not really complicated.

The actual reasons is right there in the article including other reasons
1. Cost of housing
2.Cost of child care
3.cost of education
4.focus on education
5.rejection of traditional gender roles
Etc
Also the reason poorer countries have Higher birth rates in general is because
1. Women have lower autonomy & treated as baby farms
2.child mortality rates
3.less focus on education
4.a lot more beneficial & responsibility placed on kids through poor families to support family & elders especially in agricultural ways
5.cultural/religious beliefs
6.more emphasis on gender roles/inequality

And more but these are the main reasons why childbirth rates drop/differ point blank.

If they weren't xenophobic then they would turn into another Japan and Thailand. Fun fact: white men account for the majority of sexual assault on Japanese women in Japan despite being less than 1% of the population there. White men treat Asia like their sexual playground, and China/Korea peeped game and wanted no parts of it. CACs are currently turning Kenya, Gambia, and Tanzania into their replacements for Thailand and Japan (there's been a recent increase in anti American sentiment in both countries due to white sex tourists).
:ohhh:

That's surprising

but yeah they do treat all of these plays like a sexual playground.. it's why they always push the tourism shyt and not industrialization

There is a reason why them European nations opened up their borders for alot of immigrants and refugees in the past 20-30 years. They saw them population numbers and knew something had to be done. They ain't bringing people to their countries because they are "nice"....its all business.

Japan, China and Korea..their long term future is BLEAK...you will see them opening up their borders in the next 10-20 years because their shyt is on a freefall right now.
Japans issue is its lack of agriculture. The land is practically useless. Its why they rely on tech and fishing. Everything has to be imported.

so 9k a year to have a kid... :patrice:

Too many career oriented women. Spend their best years working and then maybe in their late 30s they might try to squeeze out a baby. Obviously that's not sustainable for any society.

It's like that in most industrialized countries. It's not because ppl can't afford to have babies so money is not an incentive:manny:

Career > family for most ppl in industrialized countries due to decades of indoctrination by governments and media. We need more tax payers and consumers, but this emphasis on work leads to low fertility rates, which in the long run leads to fewer tax payers and consumers :mjlol:

I see less education on the list and it's something I've been noticing. The more educated a society (which is necessary), there comes a host of other problems. Indigenous uncontacted tribes only worry about what they gonna eat tonight or if they're gonna be eaten (for the most part).

Educated western countries deal with anxiety, trehs, racisim, being tik tok famous, low birth rates :snoop:
