Maybe get the tissues ready as this Metal Gear Solid 5 Debriefing video from Hideo Kojima is an emotional rollercoaster. The first bit is a bit of a Kojima love-in with interviews from his co-workers but a visit to the family of an MGS fan who passed away is a reflective and heartfelt experience.

Kojima's farewell to the game in the final moments of the video and apology for it taking so long is beautifully put and, yes, that lump in your throat is very much ok.
Watch Hideo Kojima's emotional farewell to Metal Gear. Expect tears...

:mjcry:

I'm gonna take as long as possible to beat this game. Gonna soak it all in. Starting to really hit me that there aren't gonna be anymore metal gears (good ones). I've been literally playing this franchise my entire life

I've been following his split with Konami for a bit now and that farewell video hit me. That shyt was crazy at the end man, that's such a fear of mine to possibly miss out on something I am so passionate about or not accomplishing one of my life goals :mjcry:

Him going up the steps reminded me...damn this is the same dude who has worked on a gaming franchise for 28 years and even came up with the ridiculous P.T. :merchant:

Kojima is one of the few in this industry that is GOD TIER :W00W3:

Once Mad Max is done I am jumping straight into MGS V

Reports about Konami ceasing all AAA production have been flying around these last couple of days, and they decided to finally put it down.

The departure of worldwide technology director Julien Merceron, who was responsible for the FOX Engine, is what sparked the news posted by the French site Gameblog, which several other publications based their story upon afterwards.

Konami responded via one of its representatives explaining the company’s situation, their upcoming projects and most importantly, denying the rumors.

Konami has nothing lined up in the near future for us, but it looks like we may see Silent Hill go into development again.

So these idiots continue to spiral out of control. First they royally screw up their relationship with one of the greatest game developers of all time. Then they say they are moving to the mobile market. Then they say they are making slot machines for casinos, then back to the mobile market. Now they are back pedaling and saying they are working on a new Metal Gear, Silent Hill, and Castlevania.

They backpedeling to save face or some shyt. I assume the current partners within the company has been getting not so good news from the outside could be a reason they trying to salvage their shyt. But its too late the damage has been catastrophic and done. They have no one but Takuya Kozuki to blame.
