How the fucck did we get here? :wtf:
It's true. He's a star and he'll shine anywhere in his prime. Tupac too. Meant to be. Snoop Dogg at his height was spitting wild material but EVERYBODY was listening to that first album. White. Black. African. Asian. Indian. Didnt matter. Greatness is greatness.

Sugar Ray Roninson was going strong in a racist ass America in his prime and was the MOTHERfukkING MAN. Ended his career to a standing ovation by a audience full of White men in that 50s fukked up twisted mindset. Greatness is greatness.

Dude is all over the place because he can't directly argue what people are saying. The Rock can't give a straight up "I'm black statement". It was "I'm equally both...I transcended".

None of this has anything to do with the Rock claiming his blackness. You're changing up what the topic is. Nobody is questioning his success in wrestling. It's the fact he can't just straight up even say I'm a black man, and that's fine. He can't be a "equally both" or whatever. Most black people aren't pressed to claim him, but we still enjoyed his career. You're trying to hard and you're lost in a maze of your own argument.

This is without doubt the dumbest shyt here:russ:

Rocky has clearly played racially ambiguous roles in his movies. He has a movie like San Andreas where he and Carla Gugino produced a blue-eyed white woman. But then you've got the GI Joe movie where he has two black daughters. That's to his benefit and you're lying to yourself if you don't think that's a plus for him.

Now in his personal life, as far as what he's claimed, that's not my business and I really don't care. I'm glad he said something on Twitter about it and I didn't take his comment about transcending race as similar to what OJ said. Will Smith transcends race as well, along with Denzel and Oprah, just to name people off the top of my head. Very few of us get to that point where we're just seen as a brand or a name and not the color of our skin.

I've always said Rocky is their first black champion. His dad is black, he's black. I have no problem with him embracing his samoan roots either, but then again, that shyt isn't my business:russ: He's a grown ass man and what he eats don't make me shyt.

That said, there's no need to shyt on Kofi to big Rock up. At all. None. Let Kofi cook. Crab in a bucket mentality isn't the move here at all.

There is no one here who has showed me a quote of Rock not acknowledging being Black. Lol@all over the place. What I said on the first page rings true today...as always..as usual you have nothing but jealousy and conjecture. Get me back on something sensible or stop wating time.

This has been terrible. This still continues to be terrible. I feel like I am a lesser person for having even been tangentially involved in this, and I know I wasted time I could have spent editing this book by reading through this mess.

R=G has turned the goddamned Rock heel through extreme stannery on an internet forum. This is some brain-damaged-Paul-Heyman level promo shyt. Forum posting Cornette fukkery. I am in complete awe, yet also sure that it was not at all intentional. Yet, it remains: I literally dislike The Rock more because of this thread than I ever did before it happened. By an order of fukking magnitude. And not even because of the argument of whether or not he embraces his blackness or doesn't. But because for some reason, defending him means ripping apart every other black wrestler still... ya know... wrestling, it appears. So, if it gotta be crabs in a bucket, then... ok. I'm down with turning on Rock to be able to give due praise to the ones out here still tryna grind for the young crehs and crehettes who have never seen Rock wrestle, and could use a role model now, insofar as wrestlers can be role models.

I started this thread accepting The Rock as a great from a bygone era who doesn't mean as much to a select group because they wanted him to mean a lot to everyone. And that was fine, it didn't lessen his impact, but he also rides off that nostalgia to phone it in when he does breeze back into WWE and pretty much is just Brock Lesnar with a shade more melanin, a fair bit less effort, and generally the same pay scale..

I'm now ready to just say fukk that nikka off top, and jump fully on the 'I need a black WWE champion who looks black and doesn't try and pass, deflect or otherwise part-time his blackness like he part-times his wrestling background - only leaning into it when it stands to benefit him or otherwise make him money' train. All-aboard.

We looking at a new generation of online wrestling managers. Out here generating cyber-heat through full-on slurpage and inability to let anything be about anyone else. Ol' "I know you talking about Wu-Tang, but what about MY CLIENT, BROCK LESNAR"-ass nikkas. It's like witchcraft, but it pays for its results in wasting everyone's motherfukking time.

It's a fukking new day, yes it is.

you ARE all over the place. You keep bringing up all kinds of other black celebs and other wrestlers. The Rock literally called him self "transcendent" of race, if you don't understand that he speaking in code so he can stay racially ambiguous in movies then you're not qualified to speak here, just be a fan. You're fighting harder than him to claim his blackness. You really sound like a clown. The Rock is clearly openly embracing his Samoan side, when it comes to his blackness its some vague shyt coming out his mouth. You really out here desperate to claim him for some reason. You must not know a lot of black people. As successful at life as the Rock is, have you noticed the vast majority of black people don't really claim him on some #BlackExcellence type of shyt? Now why is that? He's a likeable guy, but for some reason he doesn't give black people the feeling like he's one of us. And yall keep naming all these mixed people that many of whom didn't run from being black and didn't see black as a limitation that they needed to "transcend". Rock had a good career and he's a legend, but on this black shyt he's clearly being safe for white folks. That's okay, he can get his money. I'll still go see Hobbs & whatever, and see him play Black Adam.

I can bring up Chris Tucker..he's charismatic..he was meant to be a star. No matter the industry, kiddo. He matters. And he's Black.

How can you be qualified when you took the word transcendent as a barb to attack Rock being Black enough in your eyes? It's all in your head. You're making it up...that's a falsehood. A perception. The Rock is the one hiring Blacks and feeding Blacks..not your favorite wrestlers...not you..Kofi is just trying to come up over some self imposed due on the hierarchy for years served. That's crazy..this isn't the fukking military:laugh: I dont think Kofi should even be on the same roster of a talent like Sasha Banks..yet alone being given a title reign that counts over her. That's complete bull$hit.

Let me tell you something, kiddo. I cant make u hate the Rock. You always hated him apparently. You were too cowardly to go against the grain and say out loud.

fukk Kofi Kingston. Basically a Carlton Banks type negro. I dont care about him. But when he tanks and dont measure up to the Rock..the guy who set the example for him? Remember that I was right..again. Like I always have been from the day this place opened. There ain't no fukking Raw or Smackdown on the air if not for the Rock breaking records and whooping WCW's ass at their best creatively. It's no comparison. Never was.

This is the only way to look at it, cause this is the case for 99.998% of the celebs that we force our morals onto.

Look, one reason he may proudly speak to his Samoan side more is because his Black side of the family didnt raise him, they weren't there, they aint do shyt for him not really.. It doesnt mean he has denounced them or he is avoiding that part of him, it just means he has a stronger connection to his Samoan side.

2 things can be true, he can be black and still take advantage of his "racial Ambiguity" to give him more options for movies.

Dudes act like if you aint tariq nashed or malcom X then you are a c00n or arent "black enough"

and its also corny to shyt on Kofi just to big up the rock, they are both black as fukk, they are both dope, and if Vince isnt as senile as they say, will both have been black wwe champion after mania, and thats all that matters..

Black people put so much energy into shytting on each other and shyt that dont matter, its disgusting.

I can gaurentee you there aint not one somoan going arounf on the somoan Coli talking about how the rock aint somoan enough

I can gaurentee you there aint one nigerian (scammer or not) going around talking about Kofi aint really Nigerian, he is american of Nigerian decent, he dont count. fukk out of here :camby:

Too many black people pick the rare times we have to celebrate our wins, to shyt on another black man or find some type of negative "observation" or to state their negative "opinion" about other black people..
