If Kodak is a c00n, then so is every other rapper.

All of you fools are trying too hard fishing for daps on this one.

Kodak mostly likely been clowned for being dark-skinned at one point too but I bet none of y'all care about that or care to see his perspective.

Kodak has a black son with a black woman. I guess making more black babies is really "self-hating" :pachaha:

At the end of day though I view it as being similar to watching gangster movies or movies about bad things happening. It's fun to listen to this shyt as long as you keep it in perspective that at the end of day, real life manifestations of this stuff shouldn't be embraced and you don't look to these people beyond their music.

Sound like something a cac would say.

Be staunch against "ignorance" but still bump "ignorant" music...

Do you put everything you say, think, or do in contrast to what a "cac" would do? Sounds tiring.

If a cac said the sky is blue, will you say its red?

Lets flip the script. Should I assume you approve of pimping, killing, and robbing if you listen to certain music because as you said, you wouldn't think or act like a CAC and do one while believing the other or do you only listen to blackalicious and del the funky homosapian lol? Come on breh.

I'm admitting my hypocrisy but I think there is a reasonable rationalization you can make in saying that the greater sin is to actually act on those ignorant ideas than listening to someone rap about them.

I admit to listening to some ignorant shyt from time to time because it simply sounds good.

It's funny how the argument you c00ns use every time a rapper diss dark women is "what if he dissed light women , would yall feel the same?"

The thing is RAPPERS NEVER DISS LIGHT SKIN AND NON BLACK WOMEN IN THEIR RAP SONGS! ONLY DARK SKIN BLACK WOMEN U DUMB ASSES!

But music doesn't tell you act on anything. So your feeling as if there are "real life manifestations" in the first place is a mistake.

But nonetheless, you wouldn't be able to enjoy such good music if it wasn't provided by such "ignorance" that you so much supposedly despise:mjpls:

So, I didn't say the music tells you to act on anything. I was making a point that if someone decides to act or emulate, which we know some people do, that is where the problem lies. Slight difference. I also said, in the same post, that looking to these dudes as more than just past their music is a mistake. Meaning that you can make a clear distinction in listening to the music just like you can watch the godfather and enjoy it just for what it is, but at the same time it can conflict with your individual morals. As I said, at the end of the day, you're just listening and there is no sin in that.

I like listening to Devin the Dude and Brotha Lynch Hung for example sometimes who have some ignorant ass songs morally speaking but at the same time, I'm not looking to these dudes to provide enlighten social commentary or anything beyond the music. A lot of these dudes, not the two I mention in particular, as you said make this music based on their lifestyle and the problem I see is when people want to excuse and make rationalizations for their real life manifestations of their music that they sometimes engage in. I still think its a problem. Hell, Kodak Black is in prison right now and been in some shyt several times already that if I had any influence or say, he should probably stop doing

There is a third option by the way. You can make these songs but you yourself can realize its about just the music and still lead a moral life, in general. I say in general, because no one is a saint but you know what I mean. There are plenty of dudes like that out there too, if not most. I shake my head at dudes who do get popular and money off the ignorant shyt but STILL continue to live like they never had a dollar in their pocket. Despite what I think of their music, i think that shyt is messed up and just :francis:.
