I think they need to play through Dwight more. In Orlando, he was creating tons of open 3s for that team from the post. Teams would collapse and he would make the right pass.

Kobe tends to get shot happy and tunes out everybody in the process. I've seen games where he's actively looking to pass Dwight the ball early in the game, but it's not really Kobe's imo to do that. And it's why everybody is confused when he jumps up for a shot and passes it to the back of Dwight's head.

I think if you give Dwight the ball and space the floor with Nash and Kobe ready to catch and shoot, there would be more flow to what they're doing. But the problem is, Dwight isn't 100% and a lot of teams aren't even doubling him this year, so the passing lanes aren't there for the easy kickouts that he was getting in Orlando.

they dont have the 3 point weapons in la that howard had in orlando. big difference.

Oh, and Nash needs to shoot more.

True, but they do have Jamison, Meeks, Nash and Kobe who can knock down the 3. They don't need all of them out there at the same time. But if you play through Dwight, the offense isn't as hectic and sporadic as it is now with Kobe isolating and trying to score and create shots for teammates.

A few games ago he would elevate like he's gonna shoot a jumper and fire it right to Dwight. I only saw him do this that one game, any other time he's right, Dwight immediately turns his back and looks at the rim.

Dwight is doing exactly what he is supposed to do. This whole thing of hitting Dwight in the back with passes hasn't happened that often this year, certainly not enough to be mentioning, but on most of the ones I've seen, Dwight's back was turned long before Kobe released the pass. Kobe got caught in between and fukked up, plain and simple. That he's even trying to use this garbage that it's some kind of communication issue between him and Dwight is just fukking :snoop:

shyt only works if Dwight command double/triple teams. nikkas aint doubling Dwight no more(especually with Kobe out there). They let him do his garbage post move, foul him or just strip the ball from him.

"We need to go back to basics," Bryant said. "We need to put guys in positions to do what they do best. We need to strip it down. Steve is best in pick-and-roll. Pau is best in the post. I'm best from the free-throw line extended down. Let's go back to basics.

"Originally, teams would have to play our pick-and-roll coverage, which left me open on the back side quite a bit. But they've made adjustments, and they've decided to stay home on Kobe no matter what. So I'm trying to space the floor. I'm trying to do my job the best I can. I try to create opportunities. But most of them are trying to take the ball to the basket with four or five seconds left on the [shot] clock, trying to manufacture tough shots.

All true facts.....LWO

Dog....if a player is going up for a shot, what do you think Dwight is supposed to do?

a. position for a rebound
b. Watch Kobe's complete follow through

Which one blood?

No I think you're getting me wrong. I'm saying he doesn't know when Kobe is going to pass it or shoot it so he just assumes it's being shot all the time and looks for the rebound. So I was saying that I have seen Kobe make the pass to him before, but it's not often because of the fact Dwight has recently just assumed it was a shot. I'm also saying that Dwight sucks at getting rebounds for the Lakers and hasn't done shyt in that regard. He often stands there with a deer in the headlights look.:shaq2:

It's not hitting Dwight in the back that's the issue, it's that Kobe chooses to jump like he's shooting then try and make the pass in mid air. That's confusing for Dwight because there have been times when he's recieved the pass, but most of the time he assumes it's a shot. So Kobe may have the intention of making the pass, but because his passes look like shots initially, it doesn't work. Again, the entire problem is Kobe trying to be deceptive or whatever with these "jump shot passes" and Dwight not being able to read it corectly.

this is a good thread but argue this :

Dwight always looks for Nash's over the top pass in the lane

and Nash jumps when he passes probably most of the time

argue away ...

Dwight Howard is a clown and he's letting the world know that again in LA.

Kobe is in a bad spot with a bad coach and a selfish bytch of a C who is young with 1 yr left on his deal with Jim Buss callin the shots..

At first I was blaimg Kobe but if you watched them the last few games its Dwight.

He doesn't try..
