#LWO 2018 Title lock
You just completely ignored his point about a major injury. Since when do we knock an athlete after a major injury.
If Kd struggles or under performs, guarantee you be the first screaming "give him half a season atleast"
All them years of lakers keeping Duncan from rings got u tight.
Because we both know without Kobe, duncan would have gone down best big ever. No question. Breh could of easily had 10 rings. So I get your anger
So I guess Jordan wasnt the best SG in the NBA when he was playing with the 1985-1987 Bulls
Malta said:You mean the same Michael Jordan that won defensive player of the year in 87-88? We comparing that to Kobe, and you wonder why I think yall are out of touch with reality.
So you comparing a 32yr old wade with less mileage to a 19yr vet coming off back to back major-career threatening injuries??Kobe was an awful defender before he got injured, that is going to magically improve? Why is that just swept under the table when you and everyone else in this thread were clowning Wade for being on defense, someone that was injured the majority of the season.
I don't need Duncan to be the best player ever, or the best big man ever like yall need Kobe to be the best SG right now, or the GOAT. I'd only be angry if I had to watch Duncan finish out his career playing on lottery bound teams playing some of the worst individual defense in the league while I deliriously call him the best @ his position.
You mean the same Michael Jordan that won defensive player of the year in 87-88? We comparing that to Kobe, and you wonder why I think yall are out of touch with reality.
So the 1985-1987 Bulls were talented?
You said we can't call Kobe the best SG in the game and not say his team his talented....but Jordan was the best SG in the NBA on a bum squad from 85-87, so that theory doesn't add up
So you comparing a 32yr old wade with less mileage to a 19yr vet coming off back to back major-career threatening injuries??
You just loss your whole argument. And like I said any other player...you'd be saying give them atleast half a season. And for major injuries a whole season.
@Malta
We can have a serious convo my brother, you don't have to troll with me because I will keep it real and objective
I don't believe that you honestly think Dallas or Toronto would get worse if you replace monta and derozan with kobe
Kobe is still finding his groove, he missed a ton of games. Harden Klay and butler have had better seasons so far but I think it's clear that kobe is more impactful than derozan and monta....especially if you actually put him on squads that have talent
You're the only one I'm giving non- answers, we go way back
Kobe is part of the problem for the Lakers on defense, he gambles for steals, constantly gets beat off the dribble and dudes just go right by him on closeouts. He's not going to find his groove there because he was already becoming bad at those things before he got hurt
Ellis, Wade and DeRozan have been better on defense than him, also if you put him on those teams the numbers everyone is posting about would drop considerably, Wade takes 15 shots a game, Ellis takes 17 and DeRozan takes 16...meanwhile Kobe is putting it up 22 a night. So, they'd be taking on a worse individual defender that is no more efficient than the guy(s) they'd be losing.
