yet his stans seem to think this is a good quality that he has. A few I know in real life will cape like crazy for his shot selection like it somehow is a good thing that he forces up several 20-22 footers with 10+ seconds left on the shot clock a game or run the clock down with the game on the line and do the same. chucking is not the business.

Did the 1986 Knicks, Cavs, Pacers, or Warriors have anyone on their team that could be called "the best"? No. That doesnt mean the 1986 Bulls were talented because they werent.....just like the 2015 Lakers are nt talented even though they have the best SG in the NBA. Outside of Kobe, the Lakers have NOBODY who could even be considered in the Top 15 at their position. The 1986 Bulls were the same. Outside of having Jordan on the roster, they were talentless.
It is possible to have the best player in the NBA at a particular position, but have him surrounded by bum players on the roster. Being the best at your position, doesnt mean you have a talented team.

Its ok to hate but that's just ridiculous. Y'all put WAY too much stock into efficiency. Iverson shot 38% from the field and won MVP. Kobe is still a really good player. Yea he's not good defensively right now but neither was Nash or Dirk when they won their combined 3 MVP's. To use defense as a reason to say Kobe isn't good is just flat out childish. Dirk has never been good on D and isn't now..but I'm still not gonna take Kenneth Faried over him. Make the hate a bit more plausible...that's all I'm asking.

ok 42%... that was wrong. he shot 39% the following year...regardless, 42% is still low and he won MVP. yall place too much stock in efficiency
I swear, you dudes really don't know much about basketball yet talk about it like you do.
Let's breakdown how awful this post is.
Dirk isn't a good defender to you, while Faried is:
Even though teams score less per possession with Dirk on the floor than Faried
Even though players shoot the same percentage at the rim vs Dirk that they do Faried
Even though Dirk and Faried block the same amount of shots
Even though the rate at which teams score when Dirk is on the floor throughout his career is EXACTLY the same as Faried
The biggest knock on Faried right now is his defense because realistically he's just not big enough to be an interior defender outside of his hustle, yet here you are trying to make the comparison and say he's better than Dirk defensively. Dirk has never been a great defender, but he's 7 feet tall and understands team defense, which is why he has been on top 5 and top 10 defensive teams throughout his career, to say Faried is better than him means two things, you don't watch Faried play and you have no idea what you're talking about and see an athletic young player and assume he's better
Kobe is horrendous on defense, every dude I named at the 2 is better than him defensively by a wide margin this year. Your point was complete shyt.
