We are saying almost the same thing but the idea that women have limited option and therefore most go for the white savior or someone nonblack is a weird narrative that people just use as an excuse for interracial relationship. The odds of black guys in her age group and her socioeconomic status is the same as black women...there are equal amount of boys and girls born to wealthy parents. I did say being in that environment makes people (men and women) less interested in being with someone black. its not a lack of option of a potential black partner, it is typically a preference that develops based proximity to whiteness and wanting to distance yourself from blackness.
You don’t know those boys’ ages, or preferences, or if they’re gay. You also don’t know if she dated any of them. If you put 20 black men and women in a room, you would not end up with 20 black couples. There is more to a relationship than race. You have to vibe with them. People don’t automatically vibe because they are of the same race.

this is low-key true, women will always go with the dominant culture when given the choice.

There are just as many affluent black boys/men are age in her environment. The truth is most black people in that environment, men or woman will choose white. She is half Mexican and raised by a Mexican, lol no way in hell she is dating someone black.

It's not impossible for her to choose black. Her Mom, a full Mexican raised by two Mexicans chose black, so your logic is off.

I already knew the race of the dude when I saw the amount of posts :wow:

She’s a black Mexican that’s been raised in Southern California. I’m not shocked or surprised.
Kobe's kids aren't Mexican, and neither is his wife, who was born and raised in Greater LA...

Vanessa is obviously, a white woman, but a white Hispanic, given her parents are from Mexico. Vanessa's kids, would fit the umbrella of "Hispanic" if they so choose, because anything could mean "Hispanic". Their mom is white...

I'm not surprised either, given she grew up in affluence among mostly whites...

Kobe daughter isn't married or got any kids, so all this defeatist Kobe grandkids will be white talk is foolish.

Especially when we seen Hallie berry date nothing but black men for years but end up having kids with 2 cacs.

I don't like to count any biracial people as black unless they put black on the census. Other than that u biracial to me.

And to be honest Kobe was never loved by the black community like Allen Iverson was at the time he played.

Kobe background and the way he was aloof and arrogant to some always got flack from black people.

And could y'all stop acting like the south and Midwest is Pro black.

the south and Midwest simply got alot more black people in numbers.

Most cities in the south and Midwest are 85 percent black and white and segregated so of course u will see less ir dating there.

California is only 40 percent white and black the whole state.

And no matter if ur wife is black or white u famous or not, all ur money goes back to white people cause black Americans owe nothing of value

Reparations will solve our problems not no famous athlete and who marries
I agree with most of this, but it's rare for a woman who dated white her whole life, to turn around and marry black. Do you know any examples of this?

💯 though on these East Coast, South, and Midwest boosters. I live in Raleigh, which is one of the greatest places to raise a black family oe live black, period. But Raleigh is surrounded by a bunch of places in "black ass NC" and the "pro-black South" that frankly are NOT great places to live black...

I'm always gonna call out these anti-California mf's, nikkas act like we don't know what's going on in other places 🤣

Some of you guys gotta travel more. These anti-LA posts are always dumb. She didn't grow up in the city first of all, she ain't even grow up in LA County...

Second of all, there aren't a ton of places in the US that are better places to raise your children, your black children, than LA, so you guys gotta start qualifying these ridiculous statements with the criteria needed to be good places to raise kids, and where yall are from...
I've been all over this country breh, and bunch of places outside of it.

I said LA but Cali is moreso what I meant.

There's a funny style energy present in that state, which i sincerely believe ties into its proximity to Hollywood.

And if I were to raise a family, a Black suburb of Maryland would do me better than Cali, I feel.

PG County in fact.

I've never left the country, besides a trip to The Bahamas. So I can't speak on what we are in other places. But I've been all over the continental US...

California as a whole isny great for black people. Most states aren't. Los Angeles is though, there's a short list of cities that are truly better places to be black in America. PG is tied into DC, so sure, Greater DC would be one of those places...

Alot of places we are less familiar with, feel "off" to us...

I mean she is an adult and can choose who she dates.

The other thing is there are just not a lot of young Black men in celebrity circles.
and which black celebrity is brave enough to try. you're signing up for media drama

I mean, let's be real.

She's ultra rich. Finding a young Black or Mexican dude in LA that's got rich parents like hers, is not easy. Not saying there's none, but there's more white ppl who fall into that financial similarity.
Exactly.

At this point, she needs to marry into a wealthy family so there’s no chance of a dude from whatever race trying to divorce her and get $. And of course her mom can protect the money, but anyone she marries who has significantly less than her will try it if they split up.
She should live her life, not my business.

However, a trust in Montana will take care of what a prenuptial won't if you know what i mean.

I'm sorry to be cynical but of all the Black men and women from wealthy families I know that married out, only one married a non-Black on their wealth level and she was African. The other Black women i know that married wealthy Whites were below their husbands in wealth and even education. There are more equal pairings in the upper middle class professional realm rather than the wealthy.

To be real, the wealthy White and Asian families with similar wealth are usually dead set against their kids marrying Blacks for the reasons other posters bring up.

I don't buy the "paucity" of wealthy Black people argument for these reasons. These kids are acculturated in White neighborhoods and schools and that dictates it more than anything.
