Is it true his parents was living with them and he sent them back to philly once he got with Vanessa? I know in that interview with Tmac he was mentioning Kobe’s whole family.

Did I miss where his parents stated they weren't allowed to speak at the Memorial? Have they even given a statement at an anytime since this tragedy. Maybe they didn't want to speak and honestly what could they say that would be fitting. Get up there and apologize for their faults in the relationship with Kobe? There issues were known so it would have been awkward for them to get up there. Say what you want about the decision young Kobe made regarding Vanessa but in the end it worked out.

All I will say is that according to the Kobe biography Showboat (would recommend, Lazenby is legit) Kobe did have a longtime GF in Philly named Jocelyn so that's probably who B1G is taking about.

Yeah Kobe had a girl in Philly named Jocelyn, but the stories about Kobe all of a sudden leaving her and marrying Vanessa out of the blue are false.

Jocelyn got some interviews during the Colorado saga and never said anything bad about Kobe. People want to make it seem like he left Jocelyn and took Brandy to the prom, then eloped and married Vanessa. None of that is true, Kobe went to LA and that was that.
