When they gonna change the banner to Kobe?
YEA WTF HAPPENED WIT THAT
When they gonna change the banner to Kobe?
It's true, only Jordan and Kobe have this kind of impact on players and regular folks. First we had "Be Like Mike" and now we have "Mamba Mentality".What Al Harrington said is true for fans as well. Kobe was the standard everyone else was measured by. Just think of all the guys he was compared to. First it was Kobe vs Iverson, then Kobe vs Vince, then Kobe vs T-Mac, then Kobe vs Wade, then Kobe vs LeBron, and so on. Nobody really argued T-Mac vs Iverson that hard. Or LeBron vs Wade. Or even Shaq vs Duncan. But the Kobe vs everyone arguments are what drove basketball talk the last 20 years.
Without knowing it, Kobe haters made him the benchmark as well. He was the guy who everyone was focused on. Whether you liked him or not you were talking about him. That is why his death has hit everyone so hard. He was a significant part of all of our lives the last 20 years whether we liked him or not. More so than any other athlete.
Kobe legacy is setting up to be a sports religion mindset.
On some Jedi type stuff..
This era's new eye of the tiger.. only better because that was based on a fictional movie and this is a real life sports hero.
Only 4 million people in LA.THIS ISNT TORONTO THERE ARE LITERALLY HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF PEOPLE TRYNA BE THERE
I’m sure it will be. I know Mike, Whitney and Aretha’s were. I think Nipsey’s was too, but maybe that was just being streamed online. Will Kobe memorial be televised? Haven’t seen it anywhere
My fellow Pip stanKobe, you ripped my soul out when you threw that alley oop to shaq in game 7 vs portland. I wanted my GOAT Pippen, to get a ring without Jordan, but it wasnt meant to be.
You were more than just basketball, though. You made big strides. I will always respect you for what you did on and off the court. You and I are almost the same age. You got me by about 8 to 10 months, so you leavin' earth so soon hits close to me. Eternal In Peace, big homie and Gigi.

I need to start applying the Mamba Mentality to my own life. I have in some aspects but I want it to be in everything I do.

it was like that before he died
I wasn’t home at the time, so I didn’t know (plus I’m in Chicago). I saw it streamed by all the local news networks tho.Nah every channel was showing nipsey it wasn’t just online.
LeBron didn't become coddled until he went back to Cleveland, before that he was public enemy #1 to them just because he exercised his right to go to a different team. The fact that Kobe never ran from a challenge is what made him the people's champ, and idc what people say but LeBron never competing in the slam dunk contest will always be looked at as weak. Jordan did it and Kobe did it but apparently LBJ is too good for itKobe was the guy I put all my stock into and he always paid off. I stuck with him through Vince, Ray Allen, Iverson, Pierce, McGrady, Wade and LeBron and I always won..
Even LeBron being coddled by ESPN cac media, the real choice amongst most men was Kobe because of his killer instinct.
It's like I put all my faith in this guy to not let me down when I argued for him over 20 years and he never let me down..
Even to his last game he made me proud to be a fan..
That is what I am going to miss most about him.
