That was when Kobe was at his peak in terms of likeability to white folks. He was the NBA's Golden Boy. Had the most commercial appeal to white audiences. While A.I. had the image of being more street. Kobe had an image like the Steph Curry where he was the good-looking nice kid that David Stern was trying to sell to white audiences. Yeah I had sort of forgotten about that time period when he was America's darling but reliving all these commercials, nickelodeon appearances, etc. has reminded me the pedestal he was on.

I know you compared him to Steph, but Steph doesn't have Frobe's charisma.
