Only Kobe could overshadow the biggest sporting event. Haven’t really heard anything about the super bowl and haven’t cared to.

This is so true....It's crazy because Kobe really did outshine the Super Bowl guys. Yes the game will still be played but Kobe really took over media week for them. Ironically, Kobe's Super Bowl LII Celebration for the Eagles has gone viral. I remember it two years ago and Vanessa was telling him to be careful with the baby in his arms. Kobe repped the Eagles and even said Donovan was one of his favorite QB's. He even spoke to the Team during that season when they played the LA Rams in LA. What's crazy is we won that Super Bowl 41-33. Ironically Kobe passed at 41 and wore 33 in High School in Philly. Also the Eagles won the game by 8 Points. Very happy he got to see that moment.

Kobe's popularity in China is not talked about enough. He's more popular than even Jordan over there. Given there are supposedly 300 million basketball fans in China, an argument could be made Kobe's the most popular basketball player in the world given his following in China.

Wouldve been nice if they performed Under the Bridge. Always loved how it was a beautiful ode to LA. Feel like it would’ve been a nice description of Kobe’s love for LA and the city’s embracing of him. Like if nothin else was good, at least Kobe and LA always had each other.

No, they're too demonic.
All their songs are about selling access to their a$$holes for heroin.
Don't need the youth singing along to "take it on the otherside" thinkin it's about Kobe in heaven.

That is true he is more popular than jordan. People love Kobe because he represents hard work and determination. Even my parents were shocked and saddened. I spoke to my cousin in china yesterday and that's all he could ask me about.

I was listening to CNN and they had the helicopter pilot that was first on scene for the OJ Bronco chase (Zoey Tur) doing an interview and he blamed the pilot 100%, said it was a classic human error. Not sure if that means much, but it was pretty scathing.

Honestly these foul shots more legendary to me than MJ shooting the eyes closed foul shots.
100%

this an injury that has had grown men younger than him carried out, and there is no shame in that by the way. he still walked his ass down the floor and hit both the free throws. kobe is just a different type of player.

that's the hard work and training + adrenaline + other wordly gawd status shyt flowing through this mans veins.

Heavy fog is dangerous to drive in, forget flying a helicopter through hilly, shyt damn near mountainous terrain with 8 other people including two high profile passengers.

This whole shyt is ridiculous.

i been avoiding shyt about the crash, but that truly is sad as fukk. i believe i read that was kawhi's helicopter pilot as well? dude gotta be spooked out if that's true.

also when lebron speaking last night, one the first things i thought was this dude probably never gonna set foot in a helicopter again.

and i don't blame him, i wouldn't either. rational or not.
