QBs sign 3 year fully guaranteed contacts all the time. There is so much dead money usually involved those first few years the team is forced to retain the player for 3-4 years, even when they want to move on. See jay cutler or joe Flacco for instance. Those guys were guaranteed to be on the team for 4-5 years because of the dead cap hits. Flacco will be a raven this year and next year no matter what, because he has 16 million in dead money. It’s fully guaranteed without the wording of saying it’s guaranted. Many of those qb contracts are 100% guaranteed thru the same time frame as cousins 3 seasons. There’s no goalposts being moved. You’re just arguing semantics
I'm sorry, but there is a difference between signing for 5 years, having a signing bonus, some base salary that guaranteed over a few of the years, and then years where the amounts won't matter because you'll never see it, and signing a 3 year deal with a salary of $28 mill a year, fully guaranteed.
