Unless they kill the cap, all guaranteed money at this massive amount isn’t going to do much for the rest of the players other than lead down a road where most of them, outside of select superstars, will potentially have to sacrifice more and more while teams go nuts with these no way out QB deals.

It won't happen. And I wouldn't be surprised if the league and other owners come up with a creative solution to prevent this from becoming standard practice.

The Vikings are dumb anyways...I'm not even sure KC is capable of leading them to where Keenum got them last season. They could've saved approximately ~$10 M per year by just keeping him.

If Kirk was smart, he'd be using his leverage to negotiate a way to get a five or six year contract. I doubt his value will ever be this high again. There's a reason why marquee QBs aren't signing 2 or 3 year deals until they're in their late 30's...
