DON'T QUOTE THIS POST, I'll edit it after you PM me :troll:

We've all been there breh, keep your head up. Entry level roles requiring 2 years of experience never made sense :mindblown:

I'm in the bay so I know how these companies talk a big game about diversity but never back it up by hiring us :mjpls:

I know a breh that will probably be willing to help you. I see his company is hiring for some roles you might be a fit for.

The only problem is I don't want to be associated with the coli offline so you can't mention a coli breh directed you to him :pachaha:

PM me, I'll give you his LinkedIn info and tell you what to say to him and also send you a link to the role.

Again, I only ask that you say you saw the role and searched linkedin for brehs that worked there so you reached out to him. I suspect breh might even be a coli poster so I don't want him figuring out my username
Damn how I miss this, PMd you breh

I just had the same thing happen to me :yeshrug:. I was slow to respond with availability after the online screen, then gave them a whole week with an 8 hour availability window too.
I responded like an hour or two after they sent me the initial response.

Then they waited a week to say they emailed me info on the position. Which I literally never got and they have my email from both my resume and the website I was using. Checked spam and everything. So I responded like the same hour they sent it to me twice making sure they had my new email and me saying I haven’t received it.

Idk onto the next one I guess. Sucks cause it was fully remote too SMH

Just say that you worked in the start up space and draw from your experience there. You don't have to lie, but make sure you communicate that you were actually using your brain during that time while the world was going to shyt.

You not the only person that has an employment gap in 2020.

Another thing to realize is that you are young and probably don't have the pressures of sticking with a certain career path out of obligation or circumstances. You should be aiming to learn what you like and what you are good at.

There is no perfect job, no perfect company (or company culture), and you will always want to make more money.

Pay trajectory as your experience and career levels grow is not linear. Your pay throughout your career will have up and down swings due to promotions, layoffs, transfer, etc

Working in tech is en vogue, and high paying, but so is being tech adjacent. These tech companies need marketing, finance, HR, and legal support and pay those folks well.

If you had any inkling of working in Recruiting/Talent Acquisition (especially on the tech side), now is the time to jump in. There arent enough TA folks out there and these companies have aggressive hiring needs. Recruiters are making a killing out there.

fukking with this Andrew Yang staffing company rn - still haven’t been called for the interview yet. Only real positives I see out of that are networking - gotta play the game again if they want me.

Also might get an interview for this AT&T sales job literally on the other side of the country :francis:
