Yall are taking this WAY out of context. The topic needs to be changed. Remove that 2020 date.

They are saying that ALL of their high profile games are due for release within the next 3 years. This includes KH3/FF7R and the Avengers game.

It DOESN'T mean it will take 3 years for KH3. KH3 has been in dev longer then the other 2 games and there are credible rumors saying the game will get a 2018 reveal at E3. It 100% will be the first of these games to be released.

They were never gonna reveal a actual date at a American event. The actual date will either be revealed at TGS this sept or D23 japan Next Feb.

KH games rarely ever get delayed. And when they do it's not because it's not ready(2.8 was only delayed because FFXV was delayed and they weren't gonna release 2 of their biggest games of the year within 3 weeks of each other)

It's about that time. KH3, here we come.

They're not gonna delay it to any later year, they've also got FF7 to think about. This is the first time 3's ever gotten a release year, and it makes sense for it to come before 7. They know it's been a wait, so if they're smart, they're gonna get this out as soon as possible and get the KH team to help out on 7, because the remake is a much bigger project.

If I'm wrong and they delay it to 2019, then oh well. I'd rather have a game that works fine and has a complete story, instead of it being rushed out too soon because people couldn't wait, and end up having to drop updates and DLCs to fix holes that would've otherwise made a pretty good game into a GOAT title.

I never bytched and moaned about a lack of a release window I complained about them showing trailers for this game 4-5 years before it was ready to be released.

Its especially weird when you consider Final Fantasy XV was entirely developed in that same span and came out as both games were officially announced at the same time. Kingdom Hearts III is likely gonna come out 2 years after XV.

Back when I was younger 5 years was a whole console generation. Now that's a development cycle for a single game.
