The fact that they already have a release date but wont tell us means theres no way this game is NOT gonna be release next year.

Kingdom Hearts 3 Dev Reveals Keyblade Transformations, Secret Movie, New Info

Kingdom Hearts III director, Tetsuya Nomura, was in a recent interview with Famitsu magazine (via Kingdom Hearts Insider). He talked about several topics while focusing specifically on the new Keyblade transformations and how the gameplay changes respectively, the game’s timeline and other new stuff involving Kingdom Hearts III, the highly desired Disney-RPG.
“There will be a neat story that will explain about it. It is possible to do it in the beginning of the game. You can transform the Keyblade if conditions are met and there are several transformation stages. When Sora’s Keyblade has been changed into a particular form, you will be able to use its form specific abilities.”
“In addition to the Keyblade transformations for Sora, it becomes possible to maneuver using specific forms and actions. There will be many battle choices. Take whatever strategy, it will be up to the player. Of course, for those who button mash will have an exhilarating experience but for those who want technical fights will also find fun making combinations. In addition to the Keyblade transformations, there is still the Attraction Flow to be appreciated.”
Tetsuya Nomura also detailed when exactly Kingdom Hearts III takes place.
It will be something like that. Sora and his friends are going on a new journey, immediately after KINGDOM HEARTS 3D. Also, in KINGDOM HEARTS χ and KINGDOM HEARTS Unchained χ, it will begin to significantly involve Sora’s fate.
He didn’t mention exactly how many forms the game will feature. Although he mentioned that they are currently deciding the game’s ending and it appears that there is a secret movie in the works.
“We are steadily progressing and deciding what to do with the ending… as well as considering content for the secret movie.”
“I’ll leave that to your imagination (laughs). Since there are still opportunities for us to publish information this year, in response to the reaction from E3, I am considering how much information I should show. It’ll be a while until it happens, please wait.”
Kingdom Hearts III still has no release date and it will launch for the Xbox One and PS4.

In the Hall D23 presentation on Sunday, August 16 at 11 a.m., fans won’t want to miss never-before-seen gameplay, trailers, new reveals and surprises from Disney Interactive’s most anticipated games. Among the games participating in the presentation are: Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition, Star Wars Battlefront from Electronic Arts, and Kingdom Hearts III from Square Enix.
Kingdom Hearts III
Square Enix will bring special guests and surprises to Hall 23 to reveal new information from Kingdom Hearts III.
Star Wars Battlefront
Electronic Arts will give guests an in-depth look at Star Wars Battlefront, the authentic Star Wars gaming experience coming November 17.
Pavilion guests will also be able to live out some of their Star Wars battle fantasies by going hands-on with Star Wars Battlefront.
Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition
Disney Interactive will showcase more Star Wars characters and Play Sets new to Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition and provide the entire audience with limited-edition giveaways exclusively for Hall D23.
Star Wars: Battle Pod
Fans can experience the latest arcade sensation from Disney Interactive, Lucasfilm and Bandai Namco Entertainment, Star Wars: Battle Pod. Featuring cutting-edge, arcade-style video gameplay, Star Wars: Battle Podbrings players right into the action with a totally unique experience featuring a dome-shaped screen, air jets, and rumble seat.
Mobile Games

Disney Interactive Expo is today and its been confirmed KH3 will be there so we should be getting some new news today.
Kingdom Hearts III has a Big Hero 6 world
Kingdom Hearts III events set after those of the film.
Following its Tangled world reveal at E3, Square Enix and Disney Interactive at D23 Expo in Anaheim unveiled Kingdom Hearts III‘s latest Disney world to be that of 2014’s Big Hero 6 film.
The story will take place after the events of the film, allowing the movie team to explore new adventures and to bring Baymax back into the picture.
To commemorate the special event, Kingdom Hearts III director Tetsuya Nomura put together a new piece of concept artwork for the game, pictured above.
Outside of the Big Hero 6 announcement, series executive producer Shinji Hashimoto said that every keyblade in the game will have special transformations, each totally different from the next.
Kingdom Hearts III is in development for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Huh?? They had a full trailer just 2 months ago at E3.
They already confirmed they have a release date internally set.
KH3 will be at 2 more events before the year is out(TGS next month and D23 japan in November)
There's a "tease" in the e3 trailer thats hinting towards Dec 2016
This is a american event. The fact we got anything is more then expected. Any big news/trailer etc will always be shown first at a japan event.

Square Enix showcased the latest trailers for Kingdom Hearts III and Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue at the D23 Expo Japan Kingdom Hearts Premium Theater event today.
Unfortunately, the trailers have yet to be published online. They will, however, be released to the public on November 4 at 3:00 p.m. JST (November 3 at 10:00 p.m. PT / November 4 at 1:00 a.m. ET).
The Kingdom Hearts III footage didn’t introduce a new world, but it did showcase a new Heartless and Nobody, as well as a new Attraction Flow attack seemingly based on Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters. There’s also the complete version of the chess scene between young Xehanort and young Eraqus from the previous trailer.
The upcoming Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue package includes Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance HD, Kingdom Hearts Chi: Back Cover, and Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep: A Fragmentary Passage. The latter is a completely new title that leads up to the events of Kingdom Hearts III. The new trailer showed Riku, Kairi, and Mickey together at Yen Sid’s place.
