If you look at the rear passenger side taillight around 8 seconds of video, you see the spark from Von's shooter getting shot by Von's homeboy Slutty. Slutty was later killed by police.

Soon after you see a cop come from the top right corner with a gun drawn and he chases after Von's homeboys.

Muwop, one of Von's homies wearing white, later comes back and hits the dude that Von was holding on to. He came back hesitantly because Von's shooter was still pointing the gun while on the ground. You can tell he was super cautious and had a "eff it here goes nothing" moment to risk it all.

People can talk all they want in hindsight, but when them guns come out and shots ringing, self-preservation is gonna kick in for 99% of people and they're gonna run. Especially if they don't have a gun.

Atlanta police have charged a 22-year-old with murder in the fatal shooting of Chicago rapper King Von outside a downtown nightclub Friday morning.


King Von, whose real name was Dayvon Bennett, was among six people shot when a fight outside the Monaco Hookah Lounge erupted in gunfire, police said. He was 26.



On Saturday, investigators said they secured warrants charging Timothy Leeks with murder in Bennett’s death.

“Mr. Leeks is in police custody at Grady Hospital where he is undergoing treatment for a gunshot wound,” Atlanta police spokeswoman Marla Jean Rooker told AJC.com. “The homicide of Bennett is closed with this arrest.”

Look around :12 seconds. After Von's shooter gets shot and everybody runs, he's the one still there standing at the end of the white SUV. Slutty has the black jacket on with a logo in the back. Here's a pic

And honestly I think the guy Von was holding on to (likely Rondo) was actually trying to help him at that point, even after being jumped. Remember they were actually cool and it's their camps that were doing the shooting. If he was trying to snatch the chain he would have been punching and kicking Von. Von was literally holding on for dear life and Rondo is thinking "man this ish done went to far."
