How are the translations? How many languages? My Kindles only ever translate via Bing and it's like 3 languages and doesn't work right half the time! Why they don't use Google translate, I don't understand.

I never even thought about using translations. I sort of assumed if you wanted the book in another language you would just download it, or I would just grab my phone and google it.

The highlight function is good for language learning. When I was studying French, if I didn't know a word, I'd simply highlight it and boom the translation. Buying an all French book would be a waste of money (there's some free), not because of cost but because I'm not far enough along for it to be useful. The function doesn't translate the whole book, just a word or phrase.

This shyt is legit. So much more comfortable than reading a physical book. :wow:
The highlight function can be a little frustrating sometimes, but it's a minor gripe when compared to the quality of the display and overall reading experience. I'm glad you're liking it.

Did you get a case? I got the official Amazon one and it puts the kindle in sleep mode automatically when you close it.

Yeah, I got it in the official one. I see what you mean about the highlight function but compared to how much more convenient it is than reading physical copies, I can overlook it. :blessed: The battery is also a monster.

Got mine on fathers day. Charged it the first night and haven't charged it again since. Got about 35% battery left. I read at least an hour a day.

The Multiverse
It's here. Version: wi-fi only w/ special offers.

First impressions...?
:ehh:

Way more responsive than my good ole Kindle Keyboard. Nice, granular control of brightness.

No case, going raw.

I got the special offers version too. It doesn't bother me one bit. They did a good job keeping the advertising completely out of the way.
