I don't know. I haven't tried. Out of the box it's tied up to the Amazon store pretty tight. Works for me, especially since they have good prices and if you buy the physical copy a lot of times they give you a discount on the digital. Can you import files onto it or do the things you're reading on it have to be bought off Amazon?

Not really. I'm more into classic books, historical, and philosophy books I can reflect on.Yea I love the fact it looks like paper. Only problem is not backlit at night reading is a pain.
You read a lot of sci if @Kamikaze Revy ?
I'm big on sci if novels.

You have problems reading the Kindle at night?
Do you have the PaperWhite one or the original.
I don't have any problems reading mine at night at all.
Haven't heard of it til now. Looks like I got my next up.You read The Expanse? I like the show, how is the book version?

Last books I read were the first two in the Hyperion series, before that the Ancillary Justice books.
Nah breh you should definitely get on that paperwhite then.Must have the OG, no backlight or nothin. I need an actual light like a regular book at night.
I got a Fire and an iPad too though.
Still prefer regular books for the weight in my hands and sense of progress seeing the pages change.
Im a collector too. Can't remember which version my mom has, prolly one of the first.
Should upgrade her to this one if she still uses her Kindle as much. I think ever since I got her that kindle app on her Galaxy S6, she's chucked that thing in the bushes...gotta check.
Personally, I'd love to bite the bullet on a kindle but I still get a bit of a heady rush buying classic books in the hardcover and lining up on my shelf like trophies when I'm done. Might cop this for E-books and other one off shyt I don't want to buy physical, like A song of fire and ice and that horrid 50 shades of grey series.
Im a collector too.
A lot of classic books are free through the kindle store.
I was reading the three musketeers until I became engrossed with this Malcolm X autobiography.
I have all the game of thrones books in hard cover. That story is incredible.
Micro USBI've already been tainted by the fame of the show and it's fanbase to even try and accept this at the moment...but I will read and watch accordingly. Quick question though, do these kindles still have a proprietary charger cord or they using the mini usb like damn near everybody?
