That needs to be a group effort because peers influence each other more than anything.

If Tonya ain't checking for you on the straight and narrow. And little Man-Man telling you a quick and easy way to get money is better than slow and steady. Or if you feel hopeless and don't think what you're gonna be able to amount to anything if you ain't flossin' then you'll be stuck playing 2K and Madden smoking Reggie.

If you're a young Black girl that is pregnant working or going to school, being with a young Black man that is a mechanic or electrician is not a bad deal. 'He's making real money' trumps all of that negative social stigma of not going to college.

The primary focus should be doing right by these kids at this very moment regardless of “culture”, whatever negative things people say about “black culture” doesn’t change anything, improvements can be made if people took kids education more serious
