I read this article with a :comeon: on my face. There was a lot of stretching and speculation for Barnwell trying to turn this into a straight up Philly W.

Suh ain't coming to a team running a flex 3-4 where they just gave away their best offensive player two years straight and don't even have a QB. Some players are mercenaries, but Suh don't strike me as a cat that's gonna drop everything for a big ass deal. Maxwell don't seem like he'd leave a legit perennial Super Bowl contender for that neither.......shyt. That can be applied to McCourty too.

It'd be different if it was Beli dropping cats, but you think players ain't paying attention to how Chip is no fukks mode about people staying or leaving?
maxwell is as good as gone evidently. best cb in a weak market, hes gonna get like 8 mil per. seattle cant afford him at this point, and i dont see him taking less to stay in seattle. thought they had room originally, but hes going to go to the highest bidder

Yall dudes man. Just say it was about the cotdamn money. Just say we didn't want to pay him, and hope that doesn't reflect on future free agents in a negative way. Don't put the "dwindling" of a young McCoy skill set, with a make shift qb and no deep threat who still rushed for 1300 yards, in the same breathe as what you can expect a dude coming off his 3rd fukking knee surgery :heh:.. Do not talk health and what we can expect in the next 3 to 5 years from these two , that's not an honest argument brehs.
why are you hung up on 1300 yards? that doesnt mean jack shyt. he had over 300 fukking carries, or course the yards gonna be there. the guy was ineffective the vast majority of the season. you can spin that one of 2 ways. hes declining, which is a rb's nature after carrying the load like he has the last 5 years, or he dropped off due to offensive line taking a step back. in either case, does that sound like a guy who you want to spend 8 figures on? who gives a shyt about 1300 yards when you are running a average ass 4.2 per carry? if he struggled because the eagles line play dropped off and they had no qb? what the fukk he gonna do in buffalo then? he lost a FULL YARD PER CARRY from 2013. thats nothing to scoff at. thats a major dip in productivity. if the offensive line is that key in a running backs success, is it not logical that you could plug a much cheaper back in that slot and get most of the production at a much cheaper price?

:what:

Because Brandon Weeden isn't a NFL QB. Not only did Weeden have Dez and Spray Tan but, he also had that great O-Line and Jason Witten. Dallas was a trainwreck because Dallas didn't have a decent back up QB. People even said this before the season when Kyle Orton didn't resign with the Cowboys.
:upsetfavre: I can't stand the Cowboys, but I was giving Romo credit breh.

Can't grade the trade until I see what Chip does with the cap room. But you can't be a contender and pay a running back 12 milly a year. Especially for Shady whose production dropped last season. Just taking a wait and see approach for now.

I bet Philly gets involved in the Revis bidding.

Or teams caught on to chip scheme. I think it's a combo of line play and teams caught on. For shady to had ran for 1300 yds and remaining healthy was a good season. We not going to get that kind of production out of too many backs. Chip scheme is a run based scheme at it's core. Trading a top 5 back with no young back in the wings is stupid.

Yep....until I see actual RESULTS this is nothing but an L. Chip has not showed he's a good GM in any shape or form so far. fukk the maybes and possibilities unless they actually manage to sign a Suh or Maxwell its still fukk this move all the way. Only way this is a win is if they manage to land one of those 2 plus a Demarco or Spiller to replace Shady.

some of these dudes in here are straight up delusional/playing stupid... shytload of cap money but who would really be attracted to come here seeing how chip has disposed of fan favorites over the past 2 years to save a couple of dollars...

i just dont see how philly would be an attractive destination for a lot of these free agents at this point... it aint even shyt about us that can say we will be a future contender as it CURRENTLY stands imo...
