Not to sound like an old head (I'm 24) but these kids nowadays are the first ones to grow up without a ''normal'' childhood that we took for granted.

Alll I see is young teens growing up too fast acting a fool on twitter/youtube. They are plugged in 24/7.

Think about it, every generation prior to the current ones played outside and got their clothes dirty.

Do kids even read magazines anymore? Comics? Do they know all the other kids in the neighborhood?

Somehow I think waiting on a new issue of a magazine containing info/interview/exclusive pics with your fav artist >>> knowing where that muthafukka is gonna be tonight thru twitter.

The digital age is kinda fun but depressing if you think about it.

That's normal for THAT generation. For our parents' generation, normal was going down to the skating rink and going in circles for hours. It also meant actually picking on nerds, sex being way more taboo (no internet, remember), national geographic as the best porno mag easily available, and weed, then called "pot," being extremely crazy and wild to do.

It also meant that the arcade was the place to be as a kid. No XBox live. Hope you have your quarters, because it's time to spend your 5 dollar weekly allowance on Space Invaders and Centipede. It also meant that instead of talking through IM chat on Facebook or some other online venue, they were tying up the line talking on the phone. Remember land lines? I barely remember land lines.

Normal before was also possibly building up an old junker with your pops to get your first ride going, because without shyt like the internet or so many gaming consoles, there was time for that.

My mom said she used to spend all her time reading and doing independent research on shyt that she was curious about because there was nothing else to do. No YouTube or Google Chrome apps for her!

So yeah, it looks weird as fukk to us what kids are like these days, but when they look at what we did, they wonder how we could live in such stone age, barbaric conditions.

You can't whine about it. You can only adapt with the times and hope to keep up, because if there is one thing that is really, really unlikely to happen is technological regression, even if future generations seem weird (possible, but I prefer to say different) or dumb (which I don't think they are, they're just different).

i made a post like this a few weeks back and the youngins didn't even understand. i can't even imagine being born in an era where the internet has always existed.

i remember days when everyone could go outside and have fun til the street lights cut on w/o the worries of child molesters and kidnappers. days when everyone wasn't easily accessible because of cellphones, facebook, or twitter.

i mean we gotta generation of women that are learning how to have sex from internet porn. girls born in the 90's are on some other shyt sexually :whoo:

If anything, today's kids are soft. The media presents a lot of stuff that discourages nikkas from being strong. They're also lazy. I hate seeing my kids lay around the house on a nice day cause "there's nobody outside". It was a given that if it was nice outside, I was out. I kick them nikkas out and make them stay outside, tell em "find something to do"
