Good win, we needed it. Carson is starting to get his rhythm back, you can see it. He was 13-14 for 168 yds and 2 TDs on third down last night...that's shades of last year's form.

And I LOVE Corey...know him personally, know his momma, he played for years with all of my nephews in Little League....but he is TRIPPIN here:

Clement told Eagles GM he didn't need to add RB

The Philadelphia Eagles entered Thursday night with rumors swirling about their running back room following Jay Ajayi's season-ending ACL injury.

With Wendell Smallwood and Corey Clement the top tailbacks, would Howie Roseman trade for a running back? Would he sink assets into a potential short-term rental of Le'Veon Bell? Would the Eagles general manager bring LeSean McCoy back to Philly?

Clement told reporters after Thursday's 34-13 blowout divisional win over the New York Giants that he told Roseman before the tilt that Philly didn't need to add a back.

"
This game was definitely a test for us, to see do we need to get somebody," Clement said, via Les Bowen of the Philly Daily News. "I talked to Howie before the game -- you have to have confidence in our room ... We don't need to look on the outside, we know what we have on our team ... I definitely told him that. He said, 'Make me believe that we don't need a back.' "

As a duo, Clement and Smallwood combined for 94 rushing yards on 29 carries.
The latter led the way with 51 yards on 18 totes. Clement, however, was the more explosive runner, bust out for a 14-yard game on his first carry, and scoring a touchdown. Returning after missing time with a quad injury, Clement appeared to be on a pitch count. Undrafted rookie Josh Adams also was active but did not earn a carry.

It wasn't the most overwhelming performance by a backfield -- that came from Giants Saquon Barkley on this night -- but the combo showed they could supplement Carson Wentz well enough to keep the chains moving. Thanks to finally getting, and holding, a lead, the Eagles were able to look more like their 2017 selves: Running the ball enough to set up Wentz's play-action, and the quarterback making ridiculously good plays on third downs.

"It felt good out there, taking on that load. I felt like me and Corey stepped up to the plate," Smallwood said. "We were able to go in and just do our jobs, that's all we were worried about. We didn't try to do too much ... We did our job today and we came out with the win."

The question as to whether they did enough to persuade Roseman not to pursue other avenues remains to be seen. Generating 3.24 yards per carry against a Giants defense that entered the game ranked 27th versus the run isn't exactly world-beating. However, as Clement gets healthier and Darren Sproles returns, perhaps Roseman won't feel like he needs to upgrade a fungible position.

No, Corey....just....no. :russ:

Also....DIDN'T I TELL Y'ALL ABOUT LEVEON WEEKS AGO?!? I said that FIRST, BEFORE the media even tried to pick up on it. Hell, I was the first one to bring up Shady's name, too....

Where the HELL is my front office position out this bytch :takedat:

Son's knee has been bone on bone, no cartilage, since before the Dolphins shipped him out. It's just logical to conclude that that's not sustainable long-term. So him gettin hurt didn't surprise me, that's why I was in preventative mode weeks ago, BEFORE we got into this position.

We should be thankful that we got what we DID outta him. If he has to leave the game due to degenerative knees, at least he got a ring on the way out. :salute:

But I'm with whoever said we bring him back...I DO hope we bring him back next year, IF hes healthy.

thats the OG but my man is always hurt...his body is falling apart..we need to offer him a new position off the field after this season
OG body can't last. I could have sworn in each game this season he's been out receiving treatment

I would keep him out till after the bye week so he can settle with this injury. From what I read is that you can play with it, his strength will be impared

It's time to unleash mailata :mjlit:

amari as our number 2 :ohlawd:

ive watched raiders a lot in the past year and while he certainly has had tons of mental fukkups and fell off bad from his first 2 years, the talent has always been there and he is someone who i think could eventually put it together like agholor did. maybe a change of scene like to the current SB champs will help :ld:

We need a RB before we need Amari Cooper, brehs...plus, that cat is mad underwhelming.

We need to encourage more running, not more passing. I'm tired of Carson throwing 40+ times per game, that's not sustainable long-term.

I'd rather have Le'Veon or Tevin Coleman...since Buffalo wants too much for Shady.

I think I’m on the tevin Coleman train. We shoulda drafted a RB like we all wanted but that’s water under the bridge now.

:salute: thats who I want to but GayTL keeps winning so im not sure they gon trade him- unless that Ito kids starts eating his snaps. I have talked myself into Amir Abdullah....I need to know if son can block tho...I dont need 2 RB who cant block in the backfield with Ginger J

amari cooper on the trading block. I need howie to work that magic :francis:....i dont want dallas to get him :sadcam:

the only person from Oakland I want Howie to get is that Karl Joseph cat, young safety...Oakland has him on the trading block...he is on a rookie deal and we would have a 5th year option for him
