Nairobi aint dangerous. The only people I've heard get their phone snatched in either Kampala or Nairobi were 90% women and 10% dudes zoning out windows down in a car.

i found kampala and nairobi people both friendly.

COL is lower yes but thats because ammenities/infrastructure is 10000000000s worse in Kampala. Internet, malls/shopping, restaurants, modern housing, roads, etc are like 30 years in the future compared to Kampala.

And nightlife? Both are good so I'll give that a draw.

I think Kenyan (city) women are more into Western culture and live faster/more transactional lives. This could turn off a man looking for a wife but we know that isnt the case for the average dude.

I don't see how women can be the deciding factor in places like Uganda/Kenya/SA because its hard not to win. I am talking about casual dating. If we were talking Ethiopia or Rwanda where there are real barriers to dating then okay.

I know a few folks who swear by Uganda tho and I think it just comes down to some people prefer to go the lesser traveled path where they feel like they have something a bit more "exclusive." Ugandans are probably the most friendly East Africans, its never cold like Nairobi, the chances of finding a wife are higher, there are less non-blacks, and its cheaper if you are willing to look past lack of certain Western grade infrastructure/amenities so it does have its pros.

This could be it. As most repats feel that living in the village is more of an African experience than living in the city.

Nai os defenitely dynamic and filled with all kinds of foreigners so there's more competition but you will have no problems finding a wife if that's what you're looking for.
