He can face Canelo in May, due his Ramadan in June, and then come back and face either Danny Garcia (because he's still #1 and mandatory opponent for Garcia's WBC championship) OR face Brook in the UK for the IBF Championship at the end of the year.


It's actually a win-win for him. At very worst, Khan will possibly have faced either Canelo & Kell Brook or Canelo & Danny Garcia in 1 year...that's tough.

Because he didn't lose at Welterweight. You cant lose your ranking by losing in another division....which is why AB was still ranked #2 by the WBA at Junior Welterweight after losing to Porter at Welterweight.

Yep this is house money for him. Lose and get paid, win and get paid ANNNNNNND become a huge star in the US. For the tom foolery alone if he were to win is the reason I want to see a Khan upset :heh:

GGG has been in sort of a boxing purgatory for a while now with no one of importance willing to fight him.

I thought given Canelo's impressive dismantling of Cotto in November, GGG was the logical big fight to follow.

Instead Canelo fights Khan? Why is this speed bump fight being made? What's the point of pushing back a GGG/Canelo fight to the fall of 2016?

It's disappointing in my view.

Getting Canelo on PPV then Kell Brook in the UK....that's at least 15-20 million he's gonna make this year:wow:

Because GGG has a mandatory defense of his IBF Championship that he has to do by April 23rd, or he will be stripped of his belt. He has to take this fight and it was officially announced today...GGG vs Wade.


Canelo, meanwhile, is not gonna sit around and wait on GGG, so he is taking the biggest $$$ available which is only 2 weeks after GGG's fight), and will meet GGG in September.

shyt is a win for Khan either way, being real, he loses: 12 million and it doesn't affect his ranking at welterweight,so he can still be in negotiations with Brook or other top welterweights for another high payday fight, hell they would most likely want to get in there with Khan since hes coming off a PPV with the sports top star and they feel Canelo soften his ass up for another beating.

and if he pulls off the upset:whew: dude becomes the man in boxing.
