Did you enjoy the experience?
It was cool, but i went in with no illusions. I did 'race work' everywhere i went.
But I did enjoy the hogwarts vibe, chef prepared meals, and expanded educational opportunities.
In public school, i was so advanced they just sat me in the back of the room and let me do my own thing. Independent schools allowed me to feel normal in a way, to actually have to fight for grades. Many of my peers, black, white, and otherwise, got perfect SAT scores.
In hs, i was the only non korean girl in a lot of advanced math and science classes (a right i had to
fight for, btw, crazy story), so i was cool with the white nerds. One guy went on to head a lab at MIT. I set him up with his wife.
Some aint wit it tho. My brother was/ is smart, but didn't really pursue it. We tried to get my niece in the cipher, but they were cool. Meanwhile tho, my SIL's bff took us up on it and got her daughter into one of the top schools. I already knew ppl who went there, so i had a few looking out for her. She went on to model for benneton.
