As long as you present yourself professionally it shouldn't matter how your natural hair looks. I could see if you were dying your hair crazy colors and shyt but dreads is how hair grows out of the head naturally.

bullshyt. It's not about the hairstyle but how it's kept. If it's neat and clean looking it's fine. As long as it don't look unkept and bummy. I know a few brothers with dreads and afros that's doing quite well in corporate america.

I don’t know how true this is anymore. They said the same thing about beards and I got more compliments and noticed with than without. And we just hired one young breh with cornrows and one with short dreadlocks, but they both come to work neat and professional. And this is a medical corporate office. It all comes down to workplace policy and whose in charge these days.
I am no business owner but believe me, I could care less about a persons hair or clothes.
I’ve worked in finance for 22 years. There’s a lot of clean shaven dumb motherfukks in suits with the clean faces.
Competency and capabilities shouldn’t be measured by a tailored suit. Most of these rules are put into place to program society into believing the validity of someone by the way they dress and speak which is how so many people become victims of cons and Ponzi schemes.
They want you to believe the well dressed breh with the credentials knows it all so they can justify their bullshyt practices.
